SEC . . . . Comparison of Running Backs

10 years 8 months ago - 10 years 8 months ago #59062 by Buc
Seems there is a never ending supply of great running backs in the SEC. 2014 in the SEC is going to be a showcase. Georgia will hold its on, providing we get some serious offensive line play.

Alabama, seems Nick always has at least two superior backs.

Will stop there, might want to view the video below. Interesting comments from the talking heads.

I like the fact that we are recruiting backs who can catch the ball as well as run

They can run screens and swings but also gifted in running deeper routes

And they certainly know what to do after the catch.

Good God line TG up at TE and see a LB cover. Been said we have all kinds of weapons on

offense. Truth

Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

yankeedawg1, noticed there was nothing said about Keith Marshall. Actually, understandable.

I sincerely hope that Keith comes back with blood in his eyes and a repaired knee. This is going to be a must year for Marshall. Every rep he needs to make the most of.

Soon there is going to be a "pecking order" and there is a lot of talent lining up to play between the Hedges.

Still don't have a grip on Quayvon Hicks/Merritt Hall. ??

A.J. Turman, Brendan Douglas, Nick Chubb, Sony Michel.

That group of backs, not coming to Athens to sit.

Btw Buc, don't know if this has been mentioned on the forum but talk the last few days has been that JJ Green may be moved to CB. He did play a lot of corner in HS.

With the group of RB's we have I say it is hard to compare us with anyone in the SEC. By far we have the best overall group of RB's in the SEC if not in the country...

Feel the same way ogredawg. The video on all of the runnings backs is outstanding.

Derrick Henry appears to have gone along with Saban's plan, kept his mouth shut and did his work. Remembering when he was a UGA possible. Also, Davis at South Carolina, wanted to play in Athens.

wlayton, if JJ Green moves to the defensive side, makes me believe that Pruitt has watched enough tape of players on campus, has their high school background down pat and is making progress where he has said it was needed. Going to be some serious battles in the Spring. Lots of talented players looking for playing time. We have needed this kind of coaching for a long time.

Had not heard that about JJ Green. He is a tough dude . . . . with other +'s.
