From Athens-Game Day Friday #9

Good Morning All,

Just like NT this week’s game amounts to a paid practice.

Appy has all to gain nothing to lose. I am sure they will come as hard as they can.

Simple for me no drama and play a bunch of folks on both sides of the ball

Turn our young WR’s lose and let them play

Again we don’t need any drama and no injuries

Give some work to TG and play him back into shape

Yes I am looking ahead to Assburn no need to hide it

Another urange flea bag team once the best money could buy

Brunch with a early kickoff and still have time to grill then kickback for LSU/Bama

Life is good

Pause and give thanks

Yankeedawg1, not much to add to your post... I agree with ya on everything. I would like to see TG get some work but NOT over worked! Would also like to see Rumph get some good work, kid is special.

Believe tomorrow's game might give us a "little" insight into what we might see the following weekend.

Never hurts to show a couple of things to future opponents, give'em something to think about.

Best I can figure, ESPN3 will carry the game . . . . chances are some areas will be blacked out.

Off subject a little but man, didn't you just love seeing Stanford punch Oregon in the face....love the way they play ball in the trenches.....love their coaching staff.....love their discipline....love their maturity/smarts.

They are just......NASTY.

Yes wlayton... I was going to post something about Stanford.

Come back not withstanding... Stanford flat out dominated them. No smoke and mirrors about what they were going to at all. They just lined up and whipped them with the vaunted Oregon O able to do little as Stanford played keep away from them with ball control.

People make jokes about 3 yards and a cloud of dust in this day of high powered spread offense, but that was a thing of beauty. It was just pound, pound, and pound again. It was a boxing match decided with body blows as Stanford matriculated down the field time and time again.

It was an old school drubbing until some real luck in the last half of the 4th qtr enabled Oregon to make it look somewhat respectable, but it was never as close as the final score. It was a thing of beauty to witness.
