Good Morning All,

Welcome to 2013 Dawg Rollercoaster Football

Clemson – loss – Bummer-what the hell happened

USC- Win-Joy has returned to Sanford-BallSack sucked lemons

NT- Win- another ST meltdown first shown in week one repeated-Omens 101

LSU- Win- AM did his best impression of John Elway –More Joy

UT-Win In OT - we paid for it with a high number of Injuries –Less Joy

Mizzo-Loss-No rabbit in AM’s hat to pull us out –No joy

Vandy-Loss –ST failings come home to roost –Joy left the building replaced by her sister Misery

Buc said it best,we kicked this cat and now it is time for a week to move on

Just like watching the movie Titanic 15 times the ending does not change! The damn boat sinks and we still leave Nashville with an “L”

Five games left and the only one I feel is somewhat of a lock is

Appy State-they are not the same team that went to the bighouse and won

The UF game will give us a look at what’s left in the tank

There is no quit in this group and I do think that we have a core of players that are highly pissed at how things have turned out

Not sure how that translates to how well we play - a big question

Much to my amazement nobody called and asked how I felt about

The future of our coaching staff or what I would do to correct our problems

But I did get a call from a polling group asking how I felt about

Obamacare. Funny the answer sounded much the same as if they had

asked me about our coaching staff

I have it from a good source that CTG had nothing to do with the

building of the Healthcare website but based on how well the site has

performed and how they are asking for more time to make corrections the question remains ya think?

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always Go Dawgs!!!

Go Dawgs!

yankeedawg1, getting to the point that I feel I've said about all I can. There is one thing that has bothered me, have not said anything about. Didn't know if I should.

Garrison Smith came out publicly and stood tall for Grantham. Said that the players were missing assignments on the field. Smith has been a Damn Good Dawg and still is, just wonder about that statement. Realize he is not going to name names, the code. It does however reflect on either the player or the teacher. At the rate we are allowing points on defense, I have my thoughts.

Looking forward to Florida, could be "Muschamp's Last Stand". Georgia beats Florida and there will be much unhappiness in the State of Florida, and Gainesville will turn upside down. Their defense will play nasty. Could be a lot of "questionable calls" in JAX.

Visiting with my Veteran friends today, even these folks seem to be in a better mood on Friday. They have given so much and live less than comfortable lives that some of us get to enjoy. Several off handed remarks made by those in Washington about our Veterans, dangerous ground. Vets in wheel chairs pulling up fence sections, shame on those that don't understand how much the Stars and Stripes mean to us.

Weather turning a bit chilly, makes for some great fireside chats. Have a great weekend and thanks for the time and effort you put in on the Friday Blue Plate Special. :)

That's great from Smith.

Brothers in war want to take the bullet for the other guy.

It's really too bad that I haven't seen TG come out and take a bullet for the players.

The silence is deafening.

Seems the younger man has the most courage.

Thanks given YD.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Looking around this morning, thought the following article hit some spots that need to be looked at. We have discussed much of this in another thread, however this chatter is coming from outside our board.

Last paragraph in the article pretty much wraps it up for me.

Edit: Interesting reads in the comment section in the above link. We hear a lot of that on this board, seems there are many that have the same feelings.

Thanks as always YD1. Wisdom for all to glean from.

Bulldog born and Bulldog bred,
When i die I'll be a Bulldog dead!

Over the last couple years I have had high expectations. Reality is that we are an average football program and I will have to deal with that.
Maybe it's time to step back and reevaluate my investment in all this. Love my Bulldogs and will always be a fan, but facts are facts. I am not getting a good return on my investment. Could write a book here. Most everything has already been said.

Go Dawgs! Enjoy the week off. I know I need it too.

Picked the following up from Bernie. Brings up some interesting points in his article. No doubt in my mind that JAX will be full. This is Georgia/Florida. Could have a lot to do with bowls.
**********************************

Ahhh...this time next week - the warm ocean breeze, the beer, the golf, the
seafood, the beer. I love WLOCP weekend. And y'all know I don't use the word
"love" much outside of my wife, children, bourbon, BBQ, and Herschel Walker. So
here's some early thought processes on the next game.

•Who's angrier and who's just feeling sorry for themselves? Both teams have
experienced devastating, and perhaps unprecedented, injuries. Whichever team is
closer to no longer using that as an excuse will have an advantage mentally.
•Which coach is hungrier? Because the teams have been able to point to excuses
too easily, whichever head guy does the better job steering the team mentality
away from that could provide his team a huge edge.
•A lot of things to watch in the next week, but the biggest will be Gurley's
ankle. His availability to the Georgia backfield would be a huge boost of
confidence.
•It's not the record we'd expected or hoped for heading down to Jacksonville,
but you get the feeling that this is one of those crucial contests in the series
between these two teams. Georgia's finally won two in a row down there.
Florida's looking to end that streak before it can get any further and, in their
minds, restore order. Dawgs are looking to really damage the Cocktail Party
Psyche of the gators.
•Interesting stat that I haven't mentioned in some time - Will Muschamp has
never tasted victory in Jacksonville.
•Wrinkles vs. Tweaks...vs. Adjustments. Both teams have a bye week in
preparation. And both teams need it. How much time is spent on minor wrinkles
and how much is spent on the basics from back in August?
•Can the gators develop a downfield passing attack? Muschamp pulled his coaches
off the recruiting trail earlier this week to "fix things". Plays that stretch
the defense longitudinally is something that has been missing altogether.
Florida has just eight passes that have gone for 25+ yards. I'm willing to bet
some or most of those were short throws that evaded tacklers.
•Because even a defense that is struggling, if it can clamp down on the square
yardage it has to defend, is going to have some success if it is not threatened
deep.
•Another thing to watch will be how physical the practices get next week. Richt
is certainly and understandably wary (and weary) of injuries. But tackling and
getting off blocks has been something of a problem thus far.
•Fan enthusiasm. Tickets will be cheaper than usual this go round. I would
expect the stadium to still be 50/50. But if anyone has been wanting to
experience this game without the hefty price tag, now's their chance.
Lastly, two things this game will hinge on - third down conversions and
turnovers. I would expect Florida to be tighter with ball security given
Muschamp's emphasis obsession with it this off season and the fact that Jarvis
Jones is no longer around. So who wins third downs will become even more
important if that's the case. And it's one of the Gators' defensive specialities
(27% on the season) and one of Georgia's weaker offensive categories (35%).
Actually, except for the South Carolina and North Texas games, the Dawgs have
struggled mightily on third and distance.

Did I mention how important Gurley's ankle is?
