So which position coach on the staff do we get rid of to make room, and who do we then hire to coach the ST?

Makes you pause a moment... I don't have those answers. Someone needs to find those answers though, because our ST are almost comical now. You shouldn't have a punt blocked all year, and it seems to have become a regular occurence for us. The punter is being too deliberate and we have blockers falling asleep. Once a game on average. I made a joke that we got lucky by having 2 against NT... Ponted out that we went ahead and had 2 ST fails that game so we wouldn't have to have one against LSU. After that though... boom, we're right back on track to maintain at least a one a game average. Terrible... against a better team, we might not overcome one of those.

Our D..... Dumb it down, talk it up, shake and bake it.... what the hellevah.. These guys seem to play D when they know their assignments.. problem is they don't half of the time. No excuse for that happening this often. None.

CTG... get this as well: These coaches you're up against... On crucial plays, they tend to be imaginative... You might want to consider that in those 4-6 possible game changing moments. They are not going to play by the book. You were outcoached today.

Bobo... not his best game. The problem has never been that CMB couldn't coach a prolific offense, it's just he has these funks where he drives a Ferarri like it's a 4dr Volvo. Don't get me wrong... not saying anything more than not his very best game. Seemed to get a little predictable before the injuries started piling up. UT jumped some of our 3rd down plays. Saw what happened though when the throttle got opened up with AM driving the train late. Good thing is even when we have a player OR coordinator from the O-side is a little off... we still put up the points that should win the game.

Which brings me back to our D and our Special as in derp teams. Can we still end up in the SEC championship game despite our injuries? Sure... If we can get Gurley and Bennett back and keep everyone remaining, healthy. News flash though...if we want to make that task a little more certain.. maybe a little less in need of a periodical last minute drive... most certainly if we want to have chance to win that SEC game and anything beyond... ST and CTG have to bring this garbage play to a halt.
There's gonna be a game down the road when our D and/or ST are going to have to bail this team out of a jam.

They need to start showing some signs of beng capable of doing it.

Might be something that's needed.... maybe sooner than later.

I said a while back that CTG needs to dumb it down. These players are not NFL'ers yet.

I am sure Bobo won't know what to call now that he has no players left to work with

Looking around to see what others think. This article comes very close and maybe expands further than the discussion on this board
"Losing Keith Marshall for the season is a big blow, but once Todd Gurley comes back the Dogs’ running game should still be in pretty good shape. J.J. Green and Brendan Douglas stepped up big-time under trying circumstances. Green looks like a legitimate breakaway threat and Douglas got some tough yards, though he needs to work on hitting the hole a little quicker and holding on to passes (he dropped a couple before finally making a big reception and run on Georgia’s last scoring drive in regulation).

Still, if Gurley isn’t able to go Saturday against Missouri Mike Bobo might have to get a bit more creative in his run calls than some of those up-the-middle tries that got stuffed in the second half in Knoxville." From AJC Dawg Blawg

Richt needs to make some tough decisions here. The "special teams by HC" experiment has failed, and miserably IMO. Our ST have been a punch line for several years, costing us a couple of games I'm sure we all recall.
Grantham has been coaching D lines almost his whole career, and IMO when he was hired, he should have been given the title of DC/D line coach and our D line coach should have been relieved. Didn't happen, since he was supposedly this great recruiter. When he left, Grantham should have taken over and we should have hired a ST coach. This is not advocating that I think Chris Wilson should be relieved, just think they should have thought bigger picture when restructuring.
Bobo is the OC and also coaches QB's, so Grantham should be doing the same. I know he is listed as the outside linebackers coach, but come on, Olividatti can't do Inside and outside?
The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Georgia was up 17 to 3 why can't we keep our foot own the pedal and keep scoring instead of playin to keep the lead.

I've supported CTG, but if our D doesn't start looking like they know how to line up and who to cover I'm going to
start suggesting CW become the DC/DL coach, and we can replace Grantham with a ST coach.

Not serious there yet, but I'm getting closer. I'm sick of our defense looking like they don't know their assignments.

SICK OF IT.
