Go Dawgs!
From Athens-Bye Week Friday #1 was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
A good week to savory our win over the chickens
It was great to see our Dawg fans “Rock The Hedges” and make a difference – Now that’s what I am talking about
Last time we could shout “How about them Dogs” was in Tampa
I spent some time this week looking back over posts made here earlier this year
Shortly after Marshall caught that back shoulder fade for a TD in our bowl game rumors started that our backs would become a larger part of our passing game
We then learned that the RB’s worked out with AM this summer on running routes
Fruits were seen Saturday when both backs caught TD passes and our FB caught a swing pass for a first down in the shadow of our goal line-thank you
KM has both the speed and hands to play WR before the season ends he will catch a deep ball for six-money in the bank
All this means is that AM gets to spread the ball all over the field-sweet
In the past we have seen that AM can be both a pocket passer and can
roll left or right to avoid a sack and extend the play as he did twice for TD’s in beating the Chickens
We were looking forward to seeing MM back on the field, didn’t happen
Next man up JWS who also had three timely catches in our win over the Huskers
Little did we know it was a preview of his value for this season- Good on you for all your off season hard work
Speaking of hard work both TG and KM spent much time with our S & C staff and it shows
We now have a S & C making a positive difference-love it
TG made a statement after this week’s game about how he wanted to get better without the ball –me thinks he has done that very well
We said that this group would be fun to watch and are talent loaded
It is and they are-It’s good we have LSU at home
Georgia has asked for grilled chicken for dinner Saturday night after the Bama game. I told her it was a done deal
Be fun to cook another chicken on a Saturday night in Athens
Pause and give thanks
Have a great weekend and a safe week
As always “Go Dawgs”!!!

yd1,
Great post as always
Your post brings me to this. It sounds like the offensive guys on the field this year are preparing to have Mason (or whoever) cleared for anything he’d like to do.
Building depth NOW for next year and showing recruits they can get playing time with commitment and hard work. Buc, I feel I have your back in saying all of this. It sounds like we’ll be better next year on offense. And the D looks good on that issue as well.
I’m a true believer in building now and reloading next year. Not rebuilding next year which will always put the team behind out of the gate. Sound familiar?
I know it’s early to talk about reloading for next year this early for most folks. Not me. Let’s rebuild now and reload when fall 2014 comes around. With that mentality and a good season, they’ll build a championship team without fail. Who knows. With hard work and focus, we may get one this year if the cards fall right.
GO DAWGS!

Appears that hard work pays off yankeedawg1. No getting around the fact that the S&C restructuring has helped move these puppies along. No goofing off in that area, coaches are about improvement.
Gillette, have to say this . . . . not that long ago was fed up with the Richt approach to Georgia football. One year offense played well, next season defense did same. Could never seem to get both sides on the same page. Recruiting and coaching has taken a different approach in the recent past. Not going into who should or shouldn't discussion, right now I like the direction that we "appear" to be heading.
Can back the above statement up with this . . . . Look at our 2014 commit list. If all remain true to their commitment and we get a couple of surprises (which we will) we are allowed to use the word "reload". My opinion.
Chicken for "Georgia". Georgia will savor each and every bite, me bets yd1.

Bulldog Nation:
Good morning and Happy Off-Week.
Will enjoy having time to catch up around the house on chores. Dawgs need it too. Two top 10 teams in 2 weeks put young pups in line of fire early. Not looking past N Texas. Hope we can take care of business early and have #1's resting by 2nd half. Would really like to see more of Douglas, Mason, and more of the 2 deep. No time to relax ... LSU coming to town.
Time to work on the little things that have been jumping up to bite us. Wasn't that long ago that special teams needed improvement. They got needed attention and played better. Thinking it may be time to refocus. We are not that good of a team where we can make mistakes and recover. Getting there, but not there quite yet.
This weekend is time to enjoy some football with no emotional attachment. Couple games on my radar. Bama &TAM, Vandy & SC, Ole Miss & Texas.
Enjoy a stress free weekend! As always Go Dawgs!

Thank you yd1.....now ready for the weekend.
TN D....something to be said for having a stress free weekend of college football. Will be eyeballing the same 3 games you mentioned for sure. My sofa always feels much more comfortable on a bye week....AFTER A BIG WIN!!
Watched a CF show the other night and the 4 guys previewed their early list for the Heisman. FIRST one mentioned was Mr. Gurley.
Sooo many weapons on offense, AM has to be loving it. The D still scares me....can't stop the run or the pass. Way too much confusion, kids still learning their assignments/responsibilities and making too many mistakes. With LSU coming to town, they had better get it together and make some stops, our offense may have a little more difficult time against their D....they are very physical.
Cool one for you yd1....relax and enjoy.....thanks again for a great post.
