Only time in recent memory sadlerdawg that I can remember pulling for Florida was the National Championship Game against Ohio State. Have to tell the truth. That is one team (Ohio State) M&M's favorite, I have nothing for. Has only gotten worse.
Had folks from South Florida lighting it up in my home texting. Brent Pease has a problem right now with his quarterback and no receivers. They have a defense. Florida faithful will not take kindly to the Miami loss. Foley will not allow too much more of this . . . . better believe that JAX might put an end to the ex-Bulldog football players stay in Gainesville, Florida. Muschamp drew a "red line" when on the roast beef and green bean circuit when he first became Florida's head coach. Have to be careful with those "red lines". They too can come back to haunt spoken words.
Back to what you said . . . . not on board with pulling for all SEC teams at this point in my football life. Since there have been some changes in our athletic structure at Georgia, I am actually focused on what we do, both on and off the field. Texas A&M in my opinion has lowered the view of our conference that was already having backlash from the Auburn scandal. Some think that they are larger than the college football game. NOT.
Allow me this . . . . Gamesmanship being played by those North of the Mason/Dixon line at this point. Not all some.
Urban and his crew were quick to dump the home and home series with Georgia. Kelly doing the same thing at Notre Dame. Both pulling away from possible losses, teams that take football seriously. Both schools trying to put themselves in the best position to be one of the final four. Who they play, won't make any difference, the "powers" that will decide who plays and does not will overlook the weak teams both hammer on a regular basis.
Interesting comment made on national tv by one of the talking heads yesterday . . . . Urban Meyer and Ohio State are building their teams along the same lines as the Southeastern Conference. Carpetbagger came down, looted and followed the same path that many did a long time ago. I don't have good feelings for Urban Meyer. We have a lot of snakes in Florida, know a snake when I see one.
Bit long, as usual. Still giddy over the Chicken Plucking between the Hedges.
Big win folks. Time to heal and get back in the classroom.
