Go Dawgs!
From Athens- June is almost history was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
We welcome July on Monday and the dog days of summer that follow.
It has been shared by many here how fall camp is going to different this year.
CMR and staff have opened the door for everyone to compete for playing time and who will start.
He also has made it clear that this could change week to week.
You best practice hard and work to improve. A very good thing.
Buc, your effort to find out more about CCW got me to thinking about who else on staff is flying low.
IMO both coaches and players are quite and focused on the upcoming season. I like it a lot !!!
Our coaching staff is a tight and serious group that don’t yuck it up.
They have fun and enjoy working with each other and have their players respect.
We have a coaching staff that shares a love for teaching the game.
Shifting gears while I was looking at other site the name of Garrison Smith popped up. With this being his last year maybe it will spark him to lead by example. A NFL future is at stake. It would be a boost for sure.
Pause and give thanks
Have a safe Fourth and a great weekend
As always “Go Dawgs “

yd1 hope you and Georgia have a great weekend.
Got this from another site but liked what was said:
Some of the incoming freshmen getting the most mention from upperclassmen at this point in summer are Reggie Davis, Brendan Langley, Shaq Wiggins and – in a bit of a surprise given his recruiting profile – new RB Brendan Douglas. “He’s big,” Herrera said of Douglas. “He’s really big. And he can run too.” Added Garrison Smith: “I call him, ‘White Lightning.’ That dude right there, he looks like a white Adrian Peterson. The guy is ripped up. I could tell he’s probably been lifting weights since he was born. He came out the womb hitting paper weights, asking nurses to let him squat and bench press. Oh yeah, that dude is ripped up. He’s a warrior in that weight room.” Jordan Jenkins said it goes beyond Douglas in terms of size. “One thing I’ve noticed about the new guys is the size,” Jenkins said. “A couple of them are pretty big. Johnny O’Neal, I call him, ‘No-neck.’ He’s one of the bigger ones. Tray (Matthews) came in big, and A.J. Turman, he’s another big guy coming in.”

Good read Dawg With Style.
yankeedawg1, have similar feelings about this group of coaches pulling together. Not only with each other, they are having a good run thus far in the area of recruiting. They don't seem to be as loud as before, more focused on getting the job done. Crossed fingers for a couple of offensive linemen signing on.
Off to the VA, will try and see "Greg" who usually has some information for me concerning South Georgia, Lowndes especially. ogredawg spent his "early" years at Lowndes.
Happy 4th of July wishes to all.

I've spent a little time looking at a few other sites recently, and I just want to say this -
I love this forum. There's nothing in here but a bunch of good football talk. yd1, Dawg With Style, Buc, wlayton, TNDawg, kentdaddy, and everybody else (too many to just keep naming them all) - nothing but quality posts. I was about to say "even when we disagree", but I'll go further and say "especially when we disagree", because there's just so much class in here.
SteveDawg - I love this forum.
Sorry about the non-football talk there. Carry on.

Good morning yd1 (and everyone)......thanks as always for your loyalty giving us food for thought.
What's the old saying that may be applicable to our team/coaches this year...."walk softly and carry a BIG stick"???....seems appropriate to me.
Thanks DWS for that info as well....really looking forward to seeing these young pups (uh, young, large pups).
thriller.....you are so right, great forum, great subjects, great conversations (some constructive arguments with respect), great knowledge and above all........GREAT people and Dawgs fans.
Cool one for ya yd1....and everyone have a great weekend.
