Good Morning All,

Early last year I made the statement here that it was a make or break year for CMB. If he laid an egg it would force CMR to make a change as there would be pressure from Mac to move forward.

CMB has grown into the job. He now trusts his experience.

Having AM grow into a top SEC/college QB was also a factor of CMB being able to bring it all together.

Many of you here have shared that CMB has improved his play calling and I agree.

I have also spoken here about how CTG and CMB after our mess in Tampa have spent many hours together breaking game film down. They continue to do this which has proven to be a good thing.

There is much agreement on campus with those I have talked with that CMB’s playbook will have some added new pages.

One of the take aways that he has learned from CTG is getting your 11 best players on the field at the same time.

TG & KM on the field at the same time-previewed in our bowl game along with the direct snap to TG

Look for more passes to KM- his TD in the bowl game was not a panic route- KM in space with a LB trying to cover. Sweet!

CTG staying or leaving with CMR getting a pay increase.

IMO this is a non-factor for CTG making a career change. It is what it is.

CTG future will likely be driven as to how successful his defense plays this season rather than any other factor. I rule out him returning to the NFL or taking another college DC offer.

He wants a shot at a college HC job. I feel he understands there is still much for him to learn before making that jump.

Buc, spot on with the pads popping here this spring. Coaches pushing players and players pushing each other. Coach’m up

To a player and coach I think there is a clear understanding that we can’t start slow this season.
First two games no cupcakes here. Blue collar lunch bucket hard hat football. Bring it from the first snap.

Buc, I am a slacker since I hung up the shoes on 12/31/12 retirement has changed my morning habits.

I use to post at 5AM from the office... sorry about your wake up call.. will do better

Coach you always can catch a slacker

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

yankeedawg1, I am really caught up in the new pups and those that are on campus. There is no doubt that the upcoming Spring practices are going to result in a lot of testosterone exchanges. yd1 that should be the main dish, not the appetizer.

Will always stick to the thoughts that one of the earlier defensive coaches had no leadership qualities. That is not the case with Todd Grantham, he will get in your face if that is what it takes to get your attention. Old school football. BVG was an in your face coach, Willie came along, now we have Grantham. I say that this is another awakening of Mark Richt. Same with the changes in the S&C section under JTII. The young men that don't want discipline let it be known early, there are several examples but I need only type IC. Richt got the message loud and clear on the sideline.

Congratulations on your retirement, did so some years back. Like moving from high school football to college football, you will certainly have to make some adjustments. :) :woohoo:

Thanks Buc for the kind words on retirement.

After 48 years on the job, I needed to switch to being a full time care giver as wife has health issues.

Nothing major just the basket full of stuff that comes once you hit 70 plus.

I have a few irons in the fire that will let me do some work from home as I don't want the grape to go soft.

high of mid forties here so wlayton I am switching to brandy and coffee hold the brewski.

I am already making plans for the G- game April 6th.

Can wait until these young pups find their bark....said it before that Sanford will become CTG house of pain. I Feel it moves up a notch this year as places teams don't want to play at.

Have a great weekend, "Go Dawgs"

For us, it was my mom that had to make the adjustments...

I remember when my father retired at age 70 after laying brick 6 days a week for
54 years.....

My mom called me about 5 days into his retirement and said simply, this:

YOU HAVE GOT TO COME OVER HERE AND DO SOMETHING WITH THIS MAN....NOW!

God Bless and Go Dawgs
