In a bit of a surprise, quarterback Aaron Murray has decided to return to Georgia for the 2013 season and delay a pro career.

He tweeted Sunday evening: “Blessed to be the QB for the Dawgs, not ready to leave just yet. Time to get back to work & help lead this team to a championship #GoDawgs.”

It was anticipated that Murray would make himself available for April’s NFL draft

One thing about AM that really impresses me in this case.

Remember Tebow on the stage in Gainesville with Urban Meyer putting on the big production of returning. Sorry, never been one for grandstanding. Of course Meyer getting a lot of TV time these days from the Mothership (ESPN) telling one and all that Tebow is a NFL quarterback. NFL and Florida quarterbacks don't seem to fit, including Steve Spurrier's time as a pro.

Good on AM and the way he handled this go don't go thingy.

Will be interesting to see if any of our quarterbacks leave for playing time at other universities. AM staying will greatly benefit those that stay and work the way he has.
