the preseason prognostication/ranking, Athlon has UGA listed @ #16. It makes for some much needed reading material, but its value is about as credible as gasoline price stability! Athlon is usually the first publication out, with many more to follow in the next few weeks.

Preseason rankings mean what, exactly?

Nothing

the Dawgs ranged from the mid/upper teens to the low 20's across the spectrum of publications. Much of the concern centered on the \"QB\" controversy and the \"O\" line.

Preseason rankings mean absolutely nothing!!! They are a grouping of football publications looking to make a few bucks and give some starved enthusiasts; like us, some late spring prognastications for the season ahead. Some publications are better than others, but mostly they are slick productions, with color glossies meant to wet the appetite AND perhaps ingite rival discussions many months before the first whistle sounds....

It seems to me we typically do better when we are ranked in the mid teens to low twenties anyways.

It seems like everybody doesnt expect us to do anything and we end up kicking azz.
