So, in final analysis, we have MUCH to be thankful for as a family. This will be one to remember, but I'm so thankful for my mom and dad. I hope everyone else on this site has a VERY Happy Thanksgiving!

thriller wrote: Well, this was quite a Thanksgiving. My 81 year old mom fell seconds after getting out of the car at our annual reunion. She landed smack on her face on concrete and cut her thumb very badly and her left eye swelled completely shut. Back in April she and my dad BARELY survived pneumonia. It's been a hard year. But the head wound, which made her look like a Mike Tyson victim turned out to be superficial, and after getting stitches and a tourniquet, her CATSCAN came back good. Athens Regional did a fine job of patching her up. No broken bones and only a possible hairline fracture of the wrist (it'll be sore, but nothing more). IC should be so tough.

thriller.....very sorry to hear about the accident your mother had.......my mother is 89, lives with us and I worry about her falling all the time. God Bless your mother and dad, hope she feels much better and your family had a wonderful day.
