V-A DAY

Brothers and Sisters today is the day . . . .

We honor D-Day, Invasion of Normandy. V-J Day, Victory over Japan.

This is V-A Day. Victory over Abuurn Day.

This war started many years ago also, way before the V Day's mentioned above. Appears that this war will never be totally settled and basically comes down to bragging rights.

We lost a bit of ground in the fight last season, however many brave young men did not give up, for the most part, they were overpowered or beaten up. Another day, a different battlefield.

My wish is this . . . . Coaches and players give everything that they have, win or lose, can't do better than that.

I would love to see UGA score first, whether TD or FG. Points on the board first have changed the outcome of many contests between college teams, regardless of rankings.

Will be thinking about a lot of you that participate regularly on this board, hope we all have smiles on our faces as we prepare to kick their butts next year in Alabama.

Good Morning Buc,

Wife and I just came home from a quick trip to the market.

We live on the Eastside away from downtown area and Sanford.

Had conversations with many Dawg fans heading to the game.

There is an extra charge in the fall air here in Athens.

Bluebird day no clouds and temp mid-60's very light breeze.

Table is set,countdown to kickoff. Just have a gut feeling that CTG's is going to unleash a bottle of fury that has not been seen in Sanford in a long while.

My money says Erk's grin grows bigger today. AM and the offense will play a solid game.

You will also see starters on ST's. As you have pointed out best take up another notch on your chin strap cause there is going to be some hard hits in this game.

Here we go again averagedawg. Mountains have to be beautiful now. A victory over Abuurn would make the mountains just that much more colorful today. Lots of Red and Black in those leaves.

yankeedawg1, just finished deep frying chicken wings in my cast iron wok with Buc's world famous garlic sauce . . . . Also deep fried a side of breaded okra, just for good measure. Days like this, don't worry too much about the heart noise, know the blood pressure will sky rocket. Going to put this food in the belly on top of the traditional Bloody Mary's . . . . . Love Bloody Mary's, have such a beautiful Red Color.

P.S. Going to watch UF/SC now, how would have thought that these two would be vying for position behind UGA this season. Just never know. Never thought I would say this, have to pull for Spurrier over Muschamp. Don't like traitors, feel that words used by Muschamp were totally out of line concerning the college that gave him a "break". Would he be head coach at UF if not for UGA? Don't think so. Oh well . . . . . Go Dawgs, do as yankeedawg1 said, wreak havoc on the Chizik crowd.
