Rubbing it in.....

Rubbing it in..... was created by southernlover
No matter what a gator fan will tell you about being a down year for them, that loss Saturday really hurts. Especially after being up 17-3.

Our office consists of about 80% Gators and there is usually alot of rubbing it in after a game. Emails, slides of the scoreboard slipped in to powerpoint presentations, etc.

This year I've taken the low road and casually placed a copy of the Times Union sports page and front page by the window to my office in plain view for everyone walking by. Even picked up a backup copy in case the first gets stolen after hours.

Gonna be a sweet 363 days.

Hey southernlover, GATA!!!!!!!! It's PAYBACK TIME!

You should point out that their HC was one of the most highly sought after in the nation, along with their Offensive Coordinator. We didn't have a CHANCE! :woohoo:  :woohoo:

When it was 17-3 they were getting all their "in your face" ready. Now it's IN THEIR FACE!

[Oh, and just an edit . . . this is going to be a full YEAR of "in their face".]

Yeah I know some Gayduh folk..

I'm not saying a word to them. I just walk right by them and haven't rubbed it in one bit.

It's awesome because you can see in their face that they are expecting something. With each passing
moment, what they are expecting is getting magnified in their own head. It's sort of like Steven
King's approach to horror: The monster you never see becomes much more terrifying than the one
that gets let out of the bag early. It's the mystery of the imagination that brings the worst
hobgoblins to the forefront.

I think sometime around 4 o'clock in the afternoon I'm going to drop by a certain someone's office.
I'm going to walk in and say nothing more than "you're going to have to wait for it" and then
walk back out. He will pull his hair out waiting for an "it" that's never going to come....

MUWHAHAHAHAA

The best revenge is living well, and I'm living well today. Nothing else is needed.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

This is a quote from Grantham about Jarvis Jones. Think we all know the effort that JJ put forth in JAX. Makes me feel really good when I read a statement from our defensive coordinator about a particular players efforts. Not just in "a game" in speaking about a player in general. High praise from a coach that I hope remains on our sidelines for many years to come.

“That (Florida) game was a product of him always coming at you,” Georgia defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach Todd Grantham said. “Sometimes guys have a tendency to take a play off and they might not get those plays. But (Jones) comes so hard and so often. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to put him at (weakside) position because of his relentless rush and the way he’d come off the edge and just keep coming. I felt like if we’d matched him up with certain guys, we might be able to get some production out of him and that’s what he’s done.”

Take that a step further. Grantham wanted Ogletree to get closer to the "pile". Another good move by a coach that recognizes talent and where that talent is placed. Not sure that we could have ended up with a better coordinator, even if those asked before Grantham had commited to the job.

Just thinking . . . :)

I agree with ya BUC, I cant recall CTG saying anything that led me to believe that he took any of the criticism thrown at him last year and earlier this year so personally that it stopped him from achieving the goals set for this defense. If anything it seemed his resolve was more pronounced, he seemed to get tougher to me. I like him a lot, dont think we could have done better at all with anyone else. SIC 'EM DAWGS
