Trinton Sturdivant

Trinton Sturdivant was created by DawgnLA
Have not seen any talk of this in one of our current threads so forgive em if this has already come up.

Did anyone see the article in the Red and Black on TS? Says he is planning a full recovery and return next year for his sixth and final year. He doesn't want to come back on OL, but as a TE? Did I read that right???

Someone tell this kid we need OL help, not TE help. WTH?

Trinton Sturdivant will make a full recovery, impress in spring practice, and tear his ACL in the fall and that will be that.

Seriously, he's a liability at this point. Common sense tells us that when you've had the same injury 3 times, the 4th time out won't be an exception. Some people just don't know when to call it quits.

This past injury was on his right knee, not left like the previous two. Also read where he is down to 255lbs. Gotta credit the kid for not giving up, but some are just prone to injuries and can never put it all together.

I like the kid... Feel really bad for what he's been through, but...

No way do I want Bobo and Richt to think he'll be back
as O lineman. They will once again hang the dream of a decent O-line all on his healthy return, and I've seen the
results of that 3 times too many. Plus the poor guy is snakebit as a lineman.. if he wants to try TE this time
then I'm all for it.

If we want to talk him into coming back to the O-line, then that's cool.... just make sure Richt and Bobo don't
know.

Let me submit something a little out of the box as far as a future position for TS.

1. OLB If he stays in the 260 range, what a heck of an OLBer in the 3-4.
2. FB in the mold of Figgins. (Would sure know how to blcok on all thjose 4th and 1's CMR goes for:))

Under NO circumstances do i deny the kid if he wants to come back. That is the type story and person that we need around the program. If we can get up to about 285 or so, let him go bacl to LT. We will be starving for veterans next year at OT. Besdies, if he keeps it under 290, the stress on his knees will be less.

Here is an article about TS. He is considering TE, but he has not talked to the coaches yet.
