CTG.....let's start a good thread was created by wlayton
This should be good.......I'll go first.
Don't know what happened and I don't care.......
As much as I love CTG and his "fire" that we need, what he did last night was totally UNPROFESSIONAL and I just pray that he doesn't get fired for it.
It doesn't matter what Franklin may have said to him, CTG almost started a melee on the field and if somebody had gotten seriously hurt, don't think for a minute a parent etc wouldn't throw a lawsuit at UGA and a big one.
His fire and intensity is great for the team and a needed coaching style vs. CMR but he needs to learn when and where to use it. Adams and McGarity have to be embarrassed by CTG's actions on the field, on NATIONAL TV and you could read everything he was saying.......as a leader of the team and a representative of our great school, he needs to harness his temper no matter what set him off. As an adult, he knows better.
Ok, let's hear the blasting.

Richt would love for Grantham to leave. Not his choice to begin with, Grantham was #5 on Richt's list as it was reported. Just a thought, even though Richt has been praising Grantham recently. Richt has a habit of tossing praise around loosely.
Would not be surprised to see Coach Grantham leave on his own. Probably would not find another job coaching football, right . . . . would have his own program tomorrow.
As far as language, did you also watch Richt's press conference. If so, then out of his mouth came an apology for the "language" he used during the game.
Lawsuits, heck stump your toe on a rock in someones yard and it will cost some insurance company ten grand.
Not sure some are ready for this type of coaching, guarantee all, Erk is loving it.
Here is where I stand. If Adams and McGarity are embarrassed, fire Coach Grantham. Let's keep Richt and his winning ways against Florida and others like . . . . UCF.

I support a melee from time to time. If Grantham is gets fired then I am done.

Man has a lot of pride. Would not surprise me to see him pack it in. With you on that, never thought I would say that. Tired of being treated to inept coaching that has been in Athens for far too long.

I too would not be surprised if Grantham left. I have quit a good job in the past because the boss was an incompetent moron. I cannot work for people who are idiots.

There is a serious under current surrounding our football team. It all starts with the leader. Our leader that seems to lead by committee. Committee of Adams, McGarity and so forth.
