Good Morning All,

Yes it was another “Ugly Win”

I will go on record that I will take another one this week.

It is fairly well acknowledged that in the last two games we went into an offensive coma in the second half.

Watching the NFL on Sunday this trend has struck several Pro teams also.

Looking great in the first half and then falling asleep.

I am sure many of you have watched meltdowns in a variety of sports.

For those of us who follow baseball what happened to both the Braves and Red Sox’s this year caving in September and losing a chance to make the playoffs. Painful!

Not one but two teams, go figure. A laundry list of reason can be given but they just didn’t get it done.

The good news make that the very good news is our defense in the last two games has made up for the malaise the offense has drop into in the second half.

I know of at least three on this board including myself that preach that defense wins the NC.

We are well on the road back to having a shut down “D”.

Last week UT played Buffalo and we played MSU. In my mind Bray will face a quality “D” this week.We will see what CTG has planned in the way of surprises.

With out a doubt CTG will take the CW suspension and turn it into a challenge and a positive for the rest of the troops. He does not focus on what was but more what is.

CW has become the “Vampire” energy thief for this year. His head will shrink big time when CJT & CTG finish his counseling sessions.

I like CW; he made a youthful judgment error. I sincerely pray that he will have learned a lesson. He shows up and takes it out on the Gators his first game back.

Has anyone else noticed how this “D” feeds of the pervious weeks game. CTG must do a hell of job breaking down what we did right and what needs to be fixed. He then gets the issues corrected. No BS! Watching him on the sidelines you can see he loves to teach and mentor.

For the most part special teams also played better. A bad snap on a FG or punt can and will happen. We didn’t get burnt on any trick plays.

I don’t see UT as being as physical as MSU.

UT’s “O” line is not going to over power our “D” line.

AM and BW both need to shake the cob webs off of their game and come up big this week. I can see both OC and MM scoring TD’s.

Can IC get another 100yd game? – Yup!

This is the week that the “O” plays four quarters and stays awake for all 60 minutes.

As well as the “D” is playing this could be the week they score.

We took two from the state of Mississippi now it is Tennessee’s turn.

OK! – Back to back to back – Wins

Russ kindly remind Smokey who the Big Dawg is!

Pause and give thanks

Have a safe weekend and a great week!

As always “Go Dawgs”

Go Dawgs!

yankeedawg1, upbeat message.

Totally agree with the assessment of Grantham schooling players on the sidelines. Reminds me a bit of a coach in Tuscaloosa, or one that roamed the sidelines in Sanford some years past.

As long as Grantham can bring the talent he mentioned from the surrounding area to Athens, UGA will not falter from year to year. Grantham teaches and gives tests. If I played for the man, I would be all ears, for certain. He has the "look" that the good and great coaches have. The "look" that prevents too many words passing through his lips. He sends very effective messages with his eyes, notice when he is being questioned by the press. Love it. JT has the same quality.

Really like the way the supposed defensive "backups" performed against Miss State. They are flying to the ball with bad intentions. Erk is beginning to smile, again. . . .

Not going to say a lot about the offense. Will watch Saturday night and will have a better feel for how much stammering I want to do.

Hope that you and Georgia wake up Sunday morning with a smile on your face. Know Georgia can smile.

Go Dawgs!

yd1, Appreciate the optimism.
Yup, it's the Defense that has lead the way.
Time for the Offense to take a cue.
Here's to the biggest Win so far this year.
Win this one and we are on our way.

Alright, here is my stupid defense advise for CTG for this week's game:

Just play a 3 man front with 2 LBs and drop 6 all day. Man up on their receivers and have two safeties over the top. Take away the passing game. I do not believe they can run on us. Let the best ground game win. There's my two Lincolns worth.

Here's my stupid offense advise for Bozo:

Let Murray call the plays. It can't be any worse than we've seen so far.

And finally, my stupid special teams advise:

Don't EVER, EVER need to kick a field goal! NEVER!
