From Athens- 6+7+2-12=?

Good Morning All,

Correct !!! Three !!!! weeks to go before kickoff.

It was far far away from being a quite week in Athens. I can put AQWIA on the shelf until next year for sure.

Nothing but noise building toward Sept 3rd .

I give credit to Mac for laying down the law. CJT was the enforcer. Our players have stayed away any troubles with the law. Kudos!

Good to have Jarvis back and ready to go for our first game. JJ is a leader on the field. He spent last year learning the 3-4 and now is very much up to speed. He has been big help with teaching the other players their assignments during practice and during summer workouts. CTG is very glad to put this issue to rest.

This is my eighth -year in Athens and it has a way different feel about how this team and coaches are going about getting ready for the season.

Don’t want to sound like a used car salesman as we have had our share of drama. With all the shifting of players going and staying and moving to different positions, the CJT factor was clearly seen. Do what’s best for the team and all the other garbonzo will take care of itself.

For those who might have missed the game of cat and mouse that CMR played with the media and Internet folks about himself and Mac not knowing that Moore was still the BSU-QB. It was nothing short of a classic ruse.

Hook,line,sinker and rod tip all swallowed by the “heads” that he would have never agreed to play BSU had he known that Moore was still on the team. To use the MasterCard line –“Priceless”.

It was a good first week of practice and we even had a couple of big OL uglies commit for 2012.

If the 2012 commitments stick we will have back-to-back excellent recruiting years. Yes Buc we have had the athletes here in Athens for a while just need to coach’m up. That is very true! And I think it will happen.

A nugget from campus. While much has been spoken about the players and how much CJT has done in several areas it seems that CJT has spent time in CMB ear also.

No I am not going to try and sell CMB as colleges “OC” of the year for 2011 but don’t be to surprised if you see some changes for the good here also.

As you know CJT has hours of video on each player and he has broke game film down for several years for the coaches. This is no small advantage for CJT and how he approaches his job. The coaches and team also benefit from his knowledge and experince.

Three weeks… to kickoff… Georgia and I have noticed just a bit of cool in the breeze on our late night walks to the south forty.

She knows the change of season is coming and it will again be time for the boys of the south to go boom again.

(I also noticed the slightest sense of cool in the wee hours of the morning this week . . . and have you seen how deep, dark, ocean blue that sky has gotten a couple of times recently? THAT is football season sneaking into town!!!)

It is amazing how one person or one play can a season make yankeedawg1. At this point I would say and agree with you that JTII is the person part of the first sentence. Will be looking for the second part when the team begins a new season in Atlanta. Agree with averagedawg, there is a different feel about the team this year.

Know that Georgia loves the walks and is looking forward to the "treats" . . . sweet rewards for victories. Have a great day, good read.

We will have to wait and see, but I think this year we will have more leadership on the turf.
I feel this group of young men has a purpose other than showing off.
