Good Afternoon - sharing some Friday crumbs for those who may have missed. Mac is at work getting more UF onboard.

• Thomas Brown is on the S&C staff.

• The "nutritionist" was due on campus today. She spent six yrs at Florida and served as a consultant. All players have been put back on the meal plan and they are coordinating with Food Services to get everything the players might ever need.

• Strength and Conditioning director Joe Tereskinski believes in "rep counts" where a player is required to do 30 repetitions of a certain weight for an exercise. (It may take them 3 sets, 4, 5, or whatever, but they have to do the total number of reps. Once they can finish the total in 2 or 3 sets, the weight & number of reps is increased for that exercise).

• The team is doing a "body pod" to test body fat every six weeks, including calipers.

• Staff members from Competitive Edge Sports are coming in to help the team with speed and change of direction work.

• Coaches are jacked about Boise State game. They expect GameDay to be there. Each team will get 12k tickets. Richt expects a "home game" and for UGA to "make a statement."

• Richt said he will not over-sign and will continue to treat scholarship as "4 year commitments" and he expects the "25/28/85 rule" to regulate the over-signing practice.

This sounds Mack is really getting things on track. Quick question though, what is the 25/28/85 rule?

not sure what the 25 represents

the 28 is the most recruits any one sec school is supposed to sign in a single year

the 85 is the most total scholarships any one ncaa div1 school can have at any one time

This came to a head a couple of years ago when ole miss signed about 35 players - a lot of schools oversign and then "gray shirt" or ship off to JC the ones not deamed "the best" - some feel that the power schools do this in order to keep any other school from getting top recruits even if they are already over the limit
