Good Afternoon,

Monday's practice was called due to rain. With the bye week it gave everyone a little more rest. Murray tweet'd and says his knee is ok and just wanted to get some extra sleep.

Word off campus this afternoon is our seniors are jacked and can't wait for the Nerds to come to town. Game time is 7:45 on ESPN. To man there is no Dawgs that is to happy the way AM was hit after the ball was out and gone. With the exception of the UF game he has played like a senior. Buc your crystal ball was set on HD on that call about AM being a special person and player.

I am going on record that there will be some favorable surprises come Feb signing day on the defense. Coaches can't talk about it but CTG is licking his chops about two guys he wants real real bad. Go Dawgs !!!

Go Dawgs!

yankeedawg1, I agree with the coaches that this is a good group of players. There are a couple of special players out there that can come in and play next year. We all know who they are, we will either rejoice together or . . . . . .

You know yd1, I've been thinking (I know, that's dangerous). With CMR being an offensive minded coach and player all his life, maybe he has directed his recruiting too much to that side of the ledger. He needs to re-think recruiting and get with CTG to tilt the scale now more to the defensive side of the ball. It has come back to bite him. You establish a D like TCU and you can have an offense that puts up 29 per game. Those recruits aren't sexy picks but they can win you championships.

Believe CMR instinctively has always leaned to the offensive side without realizing it.....time to re-adjust. Use CTG's instincts now.

Maybe it is because I agree for the most part with you wlayon, on this issue. Feel you and I are closer now on . . . . direction. That is said with the utmost respect.

I am a great believer in an offensive line that thinks and plays like Ben Jones. Backs don't go if the offensive line doesn't go. QB does not work if the offensive line does not work. I know that you know that, and most on this board do also.

Hard for me to get the "stuff" out of my mind that happened this past weekend. Like you and others, it is hard for me to let go when I see a young college player like AM take the beating that he took. AM represents to me what college football should be . . . good student, good teammate, great person. Plays the game pretty well also.

YD1 will probably take me a few more days to get this Frailey stuff out of my craw. Have to, need to focus on Tech.

I sincerely hope that CTG gets the players that he wants, Erk sometimes had a hard time choosing second. Some don't know that, that was the case with VD. That is the past. CTG, have a really good feeling about what you and Belin and Lakatos are doing. Little bit like plugging in a new TV or new computer, have to find the right keys.

We have talent, and this game with Auburn might be what UGA needed to get back on track wlayton. We will thank Auburn next year between the hedges. . . . . hell yes!! ;)

Go Dawgs, 3/4 against Tech, show me . . . .

Buc, some may have forgotten that Tech also plays a 3/4 now. It will be interesting to see how the two defenses compare playing the same style against each other. Think we will see how CTG, Lakatos, and Belin have done in placing players into position and coached them up on the 3/4. We will see that not only do we have superior talent, but also coaching on the defensive side in similar defenses.

Plus Nesbitt is out for the season if I remember correctly and their offense has alost been non-existent since.

DawgnLA, was aware, started to mention it. Watched Tech/Miami game, we should be able to run, run, run on them. Would love to see Carlton Thomas get his hands on the ball in this game.

Tech was pretty aggressive with their linebackers, AM could cause them some problems with the short stuff. Flat out, they cannot cover our receivers.

Picked this up from the AJC, interesting. . . .

Recruiting: According to Rivals.com, Georgia’s past five signing classes have ranked fourth, ninth, seventh, sixth and 15th nationally. Tech’s highest-rated signing class of that span was in 2007 — at No. 18. Tech’s past three signing classes have been ranked 49th, 49th and 43rd. So why, if Georgia recruits are so much better, are we even having this discussion?
