B) B) B) OK Buc, here I is: I said earlier that we could loose to S.C., The Razorbacks, Auburn, Fla. & The North Ave Insects. This team is not ready mentally or physically to play in the SEC. Soft practices, no two a days, lets go for a swim and only one full pad knock down-drag out before this S.C game. What ever happened to "bloody Tuesday" practice in the Dooley era? Butts would have full pad practices at least three days before games.
Who teaches this defence how to tackle? No one knows how to lock up on a ball carrier. Our offensive line, supposed to be a strenght, was none existent. This team may get better over the course of the season, but only if the coaches do a better job of coaching. They need to get the players attentions. Some good old fashion head kocking practices might be a good start. Yes, CMR needs to do the play calling and that new
D-coach needs to teach these kids how to tackle. For one thing, we don't have the right people to rum a 3-4 defence, need some wide bodies for that nose position. The O-line needs to get aquinted with each other and play as a unit. This all takes time and the right people in place. I'm I upset we lost, I could aske you if you are turtle, and that would give you my answer. Buc, you should know the answer to that old question. Come on guys, hang in there.
As always, GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :S :S :S

DawgDoc good to see you back and posting.

You were surely right on the Carolina game. We talked about the SC game being huge all week and longer. If Arkansas comes to Athens and puts a whipping on us, there is not enough water or foam that will put that fire out.

Wally Butts, Erk, BVG. Not many can speak to the coaching and tactics of Coach Butts and Erk. They were definitely from the same era as a coach that wore a hounds tooth hat in Tuscaloosa. If I am reading your post right, some of these younger coaches could learn a thing or two from the older coaches that understood, wrapping up.

We have had a lot of really good D-1 players pass through the hedges, just not seeing the results that so many of us think are past due.

Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State to name a few, we play like we played in Columbia, not good.

Reaching for the turtle answer . . . can't come up with it in this room, maybe I should go to another room and I will recollect . . . Glad to see you posting again. :)

Buc I thought for sure you were a member of the "Turtle Club" When asked if you are a turtle your responce should be "You bet your sweet a-- I am" That's my answer to my question, was I upset with the loss on last Sat. When asked this question at your local "watering hole" and you don't answer in an audible tone or don't know the answer you must by that person a drink. I'm looking forward to collecting that toddy.

Early Vegas line has UGA a 2.5 point favorite. Did not give us that 3 point spread for home field. B)

Guess then we are a 1/2 point dog on a neutral field.
