680theFan’s Chuck Oliver is reporting that according to a source he spoke to on the phone inside the UGA Athletic Department, that UGA WR AJ Green will be cleared by the NCAA, or Thursday p.m. at the latest to play in Georgia’s Saturday showdown against South Carolina. According to Oliver, Green sold a jersey for $1,000 and has already paid back the funds. Missing the ULL game would be the punishment for selling the jersey.
Hopefully, there is some truth to this report, and AJ will be padded up come Saturday in Columbia.

Thanks Peter - sounds like your sources were correct
Makes sense that the lawyers were involved to fix this

Does anyone know what the NCAA rule is on this particular case. Is it specific or covers a large area without being specific.
If AJ had an automobile, painted red and black, big G on the hood and 81's on driver and passenger doors, with his signature on driver's side. He paid $2,000 for the auto originally, then needed some money to do personal things or did not want the auto anymore, then sold the auto for $4,000. Is that breaking the NCAA rules?
If AJ bought the jersey online, here for example, paid x number of dollars for the jersey, then placed his signature on the jersey he purchased. Sold the jersey for whatever, does that break the NCAA rule.
Some, more like a lot of college kids have to work to support their education, and have a few dollars to spend at the local hangouts. Why is it that AJ cannot earn extra money through the free enterprise system?
Don't totally understand, would like to know what the ruling is, this would add to my understanding of football, and let's face it, NCAA at this point is football.
Don't know if that is the reason for AJ's (and UGA's) problem, would like to know. Even though AJ is getting a free education, (does play football)(payment to UGA for scholarship)
does he relinquish his rights to sell his car for a profit . . . Just asking . . .

Scout.com reported that yesterday, but no other media outlets have confirmed the story. Hopefully it's true.
