Keys to the game! was created by lyori1
Gents, Over the last few weeks throughout several threads, I have picked up on the several things in general most of you are looking for in this years squad. I was wondering however if you all you impart your collective wisdom on key things you all will be looking for in this weeks game vs the Rajin' Cajuns.
Here are my keys;
The Offensive Line: I know we are comparing different level talent which is exactly why it should look that way. The Pound Dawgs on the line should absolutely dominate from whistle to whistle.
The Defensive Front Seven: The Cajuns gave up only 13 sacks last year. I hope to see at least 3 in this game. The Cajun QB should be saying hello to Mr Houston frequently.
The Linebackers and Safety Play: The Cajun offensive is weak at best. The best weapon is the Tight End. Let's see how the Linebackers and Safety's transition in the new scheme.
The Defense Overall: This should be a shutout. Period.

Great scrimmage against lesser players with different jerseys.

Agree lyori1
We better smack this cupcake - play lots of players - get ready for next week - sc looked mighty good last night - they were ready to play despite the issues of hotel gate

Well at half time, let's see how we are doing against the keys to the game?
Defense front seven attacking the ball: Hardly any rushing room and 2 sacks. J. Houston appears to be un blockable. A+
Linebackers and Safeties covering the big TE in transition: Well watching CTG's reaction when Rambo saw nothing but tail lights on the big TE, I would say this is not where we need it to be. C-
Defense overall: 1 big play so far blows the shut out, but overall they are playing aggressive D just liked we were hoping. I would give them a B so far.
Offensive Line dominate from whistle to whistle: This is my biggest concern with what I have seen so far. They are doing OK, but this is not Florida or SC we are playing. They are not dominating as they should be at this point. C
We have to give extra credit mention of the play of young AM: Other than 1 ill advised pass he was trying to throw our of the end zone. He has been outstanding. With a little more work on looking off the safeties in zone coverage, he will be just fine. A+ for his first game.
Will check back at the end of the game and readjust these as needed.

There goes Hutson Mason's redshirt. Not a bad way to burn it though.
