Well, this clears things up a little...

the depth chart at CB was little surprising to me. I hope AM realizes he wasn't #1 till ZM was dismissed from the team. I think that AM has better tools than ZM but he was having a great spring till the dismissal.. The depth chart looks deep in some areas and can't wait for the freshmen to get in town.

Actually, according to a report I just read, CMR has stated that even if ZM was still here, AM would still be #1.

Anyway, what are your likes and dislikes?

Mine:

Likes - Depth at receiver looks good. Depth at TE and FB looks RIDICULOUS! (Some of those guys need to think about LB or DE, if they have the size and speed.) Corner looks better than I can recall for awhile, and we have a couple of good ones at FS. Tailback looks, as usual, stacked. In fact, looking at each position, and taking injuries into consideration, we are looking well stocked almost everywhere. (I think the O-Line is better than this chart makes it look, due to injuries - insert Strickland and Sturdivant and it looks a lot nicer.)

Dislikes - Let's get one or two more QBs (Hutson Mason and Christian Lemay would fit in rather nicely). LB and DE is going to get tested this year (but I do like some of the names that are listed as \"backups\" at those spots.)

The more I look at this chart, the more I agree with wlayton - maybe not THIS year, but just wait until 2011! This will be an interesting time to be a DAWG!

I was kind of surprised Marlon Brown was so far down on the chart.

I did enjoy reading this ringing endorsement from CMR--
from ajc.com:

Someone asked Richt to name a quarterback he has coached, either at Georgia or Florida State, who was similar to Murray.

“I personally think he’s a lot like Casey Weldon,” said Richt, referring to the former Florida State quarterback who was the Heisman Trophy runnerup in 1991.

“Casey Weldon was a really fine quarterback at Florida State. . . . [Murray] reminds me of him,” Richt said. “[Murray] has got a very quick release. He’s got a very strong arm. He moves well. I think he can move well enough to make plays in the pocket, but he will cross the line of scrimmage and get you a first down when you need them. He’s a leader. He’s a hard worker.”

Richt added that Murray “knows how to win.”

For those who may not remember Casey Weldon, he is a fine qb to be compared to.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

We can only hope AM is as good as Casey Weldon. That kid was awesome at FSU. I think AM could be special too!
