Running game. Can we \"run this state\"??

Good morning from snowy VA. Its real early, but i get a real good feeling about our run game this year. With all the linemen that got playing time last year, I'd expect that our running game would flourish. A strong running game certainly would help either QB that wins the starting job.. Has anyone heard any news on Trinton Sturdivant?? How he is progressing??

Good question bro. I think the good thing about Sturdivant is we don't have to rush him. As long as he passes his classes, I believe he can use a medical redhsirt to go along with a regular redshirt to cover the two years missed. That means he will be a \"junior\" this coming season. I say allow him to backup his junior year (maybe the best #3 OT in the country), and then let hi m compete for the starter job his senior season.

Hopefully a strong o line will keep the run game going strong while the young QB, whoever it is, gets his feet wet. Bring the D up...throw over the top for big gains..

Whats your take on the D...With Grantham at the helm??

TG will get the job done. He's coached at all levels (especially the NFL with Dallas), has an aggressive, attacking style D and is hungry to get the Dawgs back on top.

I’ve heard that he’s progressing well, but I think he’s a definite question mark.
