HW Makes his MMA debut at the end of the month.

From an MMA website:

With just three weeks to go until his professional MMA debut, 1982 Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker has an opponent.

Rage in the Cage veteran Greg Nagy is expected to meet Walker as part of the televised portion of Strikeforce's next event on Showtime on Jan. 30 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla

I know nothing about Greg Nagy and a cursory google search turned up nothing, so I suspect Herschel is being fed a can for an easy victory.

Should he win as expected, I suspect that his next fight will be a Strikeforce headliner event against someone who isn't very good but popular with crowd like Bobby Lashley or Kimbo Slice, in which case Walker will be thouroughly KOed but will walk away with a fat paycheck. That's really what all this is about. He can't be serious about pursing a full fledged MMA career at 47. He just wants to get in the cage, have some fun for awhile, get a big payday, and then get out.

He's also nuts. At 47 the body may look the same......it ain't the same. He could get seriously hurt against someone that's for real.

Sad.

As we are all HW fans....this could be hard to watch. I for one, think HW is outta his mind.
