let me get this straight...your judging someone on 1 year. i bet you were screaming for Willie to stay forever after '07 Sugar Bowl. put up a few seasons worth of stats and then someone may respond. do you even remember when BVG was here?

Offenses change, both collegiate and professional, a good DC will need to be able to adapt. How many times did BVG face Tebow or the Wildcat, Tech's triple option etc?

He was a hell of alot better against the offenses that we faced at that time than Martinez was during his tenure. That is for sure.

And I wouldn't take him back if he worked for free. The man has no sense of loyalty and didn't get along with our coaching staff, which is why they've made NO attempt to ever get him back, even after he was fired at GSU.

I understand why watson would want BVG back and I understand why dapolla wouldn't pee on him if he was on fire. I have to agree with dapolla. I really think he would end up turning into cancer. I am not questioning how good he is, because he is definitely good. BVG jumped ship on us 2 years to early. I know he left to go to the NFL, but I don't think he left for a DC position. Then he went to GSU and proved that being a good DC doesn't make you a good HC. I am all for a man wanting to better himself, but I think he started reading the headlines a little to early. For whatever reason he left Athens and made it a point to say that he and CMR didn't get along for whatever reason. CMR will find the right man for the job. I don't know when but he will. We will end up with a good recruiting class and we will be fine. Personally the suspense is killing me and this is kind of fun. I feel like a kid who gets up every morning and checks to see if Santa has come.
