Can't blame Willie for this one...

This is all on the shoulders of Mike Bobo and a select group of whiz kids who thought it would be a good idea to celebrate and get unsportsmanlike conduct penalties because they just knew we had put the game away and our opponent's field position meant nothing!

We were given so many second chances in this game and blew it big time. I certainly won't complain if we're not ranked when the new polls come out.

Our new freshman running back does look like something special though.

Can we get Logan Grey some snaps now please? From now on, this season should be spent developing the leaders of next year and getting them some playing time. It will be LG to AJ in 2010, so we might as well get that machine up and running now.

As it stands now:

Definite losses: Florida, Auburn (I seriously think Auburn is going to be good. As in dark horse SEC title contender good. I'm just feeling the Gus Malzhan system. I think he's the real deal and the plainsmen are back.)

Probable losses: Tennessee (if Lane plays the same D against us that he did against Florida, we lose), Georgia Tech

No we can because his defense once again let them get in the red zone then tightened up, the problem is LSU doesnt have a QB that can exploit that little fact, if willie was even average they would never be down there to start with.

So willie is still to blame but Im sure they can find some excuse to keep him on through the next few average seasons.

Until he is gone UGA will be barely at spoiler level instead of NC level.

Wow!!! What a day. I really can't even to begin to express the disappointment I felt after this one. I don't think that I have ever cheered the DAWG's on any harder than I did today. All day I could not believe how ineffective our O was. It is just unbelievable. We have all this talent and we can only put up 13 points. So many chances to put this game away. The D was awesome. Then comes the end of the 4th quarter. \"Can't blame Willie for this one....\" WRONG!!!!!! I have defended CWM for weeks now. Not that I think he doesn't deserve the criticism, but He hasn't deserved all of it. When Scott had that 30 yard touchdown that was the final straw for me. How can this unit play like warriors all day. Then at the most important part of the game lay down. I know that the penalty, even if it was a bad call, put the D in a bad situation. Even though the O hadn't pulled their weight all day. The effort on that play was ridiculous. Who do you blame? Were the coaches at fault or did these young men make a mistake. I don't know, but I can't defend CWM anymore. I will continue to cheer these young men on. I know that we can still win the SEC East. However, WE will not win a NC with CWM and CMB these guys can not win the BIG game. For national attention we needed to beat OSU because everyone claimed they were a top 10 team. A team competing for a NC should beat USC, ARK, and ASU even if it is sloppy. Then comes number 4 LSU. It would be different if they had beaten us, but they didn't. The bottom line is that CWM nor CMB can't win big games. I have had this argument earlier this year and today only drives my point home. You know what? If CMR doesn't realize this then we can't win a NC with him either. A Bama fan asked me after the game \" How did CMB get that job anyway? \" I told him that he was a good QB when he played and I guess that loyalty plays into this decision a little bit. His exact words were \" With UGA's talent I hope he continues to be your OC. \" . It was a heck of a game to watch. I thought these young men gave all they had today, excluding Scott's touchdown run. This is just wrong. We can blame Willie for this one too. At the end of the day the offense put us back in the lead with around 1 minute for the defense to hold to escape with the win.

Instead of getting the W the D folds like a wet piece of paper and gives up a TD to end it for all intents and purposes.

Sorry.....blaming the offense for this loss after getting the lead late with a minute left on the clock is just plain wrong and is the kind of thinking that allows this soft and weak defense to keep plaguing the Dawg nation.
