What's it gonna take for the Dawgs to win

It's awfully quite in here...TOO quite if you ask me. Is it the calm before the storm?

I betcha this site would have 10 or more LSU vs. UGA threads running simultaneously IF UGA was 4-0 and ranked in the top 10 going into Sat. rather than 3-1 and hovering around #15.

I say, forget about the loss to Okie St. Dawg fans, it's all about the SEC for the forseeable future; the NATS will be dealt with in due time.

I fully agreed w/many on here figuring that the Okie St. game would set the tone for the entire season but that seems to be the case for our FANS more than it is for our TEAM. I'd say the team has bounced back darn well from that opening day disappointment in Stillwater and we need to do the same.

So, my questions are:

Can our Dawgs put it all together on Sat. against a LSU team hell-bent on revenge and touting at least equal, if not more talent than the boys in Red & Black???
What's it gonna take for all of us to have a joyous Sat. night of barking???

And please, don't anybody say NEW coaches (I know, I know, like I'm one to talk-LOL) although comments on HOW coaches need to manage the team are welcomed.

Believe it or not, I have my own 2 cents regarding the keys to success in this critcal (IMO, this game will truly shape our season) SEC matchup but I want to hear from yall.

When my plane lands in Atlanta at 1:30PM EST and I get back online, I want to see several pages of posts telling me what the Dawgs need to do in order to BEAT LSU!

1. Less zone, more man
2. HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL
3. 6 or less penalties, no personal fouls
4. O-line make the gaps so Samuel and King can hit the gut.

6. Keep kicking the ball through the end zone.
7. A little okie-doke type play in the 1st quarter could help set the tone.

Both teams have played sloppy for the most part. In all honesty, UGA should be 2-2 right now and maybe even 1-3. The only team that the Dawgs clearly \"beat\" was Arizona State. The Cocks dominated, the Razorbacks game was pretty much a draw. I have to hand it to the Dawgs. They find a way to win.
LSU has looked a little sloppy too so in the upcoming matchup, I think the team that cleans it up a bit wins. I have a feeling the Dawgs win this one. I believe they will come out focused for the first time all season.
In an earlier thread, I predicted a 24-20 win for UGA and I still think that sounds about right.

GooseDawg78 I think you are right it is the calm before the storm. I myself am very confident in our DAWG's. I think this game will tell us a lot. We haven't had consistency so I really don't know how to react. I have said that this team is special for around 3 weeks now. I think if we lose then we are still dangerous because the O can be explosive. If we win then we can sit back and enjoy the ride. We have not played typical UGA football BUT is change really that bad. I have really enjoyed the drama that this season has already showed us. I am truly excited about the rest of the season. I am not saying we win out but I really don't see any team ahead of us that doesn't have their own problems.
LSU has been sloppy
UT has good D but bad QB
UF is not as good as last year
AUB really hasn't beat anybody
GT we blew that game last year

All in all I kind of think we are in good shape. We will know a lot more after LSU.

Goose.....both teams are very inconsistent. Both teams have terrible D's. Our offense had better light it up because even though their offense has struggled terribly, they WILL score against our D.

Pretty simple to me......if we don't turn the ball over AT ALL and don't allow ANY big plays downfield, we will win the game. I believe it will be pretty high scoring and we win something like....
