Herschel to the UFC?

I was browsing through the television today and spotted on the bottom line of sportscenter that UGA great Herschel Walker has signed a deal with strikeforce and is going to debut in 2010 with the UFC. Is this to fight or is this hopefully for something managerial. I believe HW is 47 years old. I know I was not seeing things, and hopefully this is all bs. I love HW but the UFC?

Herschel will be fighting in an unspecified date in 2010. He also will be training with the American Kickboxing Academy.

This REALLY surprises me. Gotta give the man 2 things though.

1: He knows how to keep his name in the public eye which always means more money.(i.e. Celebrity Apprentice, now apparently UFC)

2. He may be in his 40s but he looks like he is still in his 20s! Have you seen him lately? He is still a very large, healthy individual.

he also was on The World Series Of Poker Antie for Africa! The man is def keeping his foot in the spotlight but UFC? I think he might be over his head. They consider 28 year olds old in the UFC! Good luck to him but I think he needs to rethink this one!

I believe Randy Cotour was 43 when he won his title back from a so called youngster. If he's in shape and has the skill. He'll do just fine. If all else fails he can just drop his head and run him over.

Did not know that. I just worry b/c there is no helmet or pads in this sport. I would really hate to see something happen to HW. Also, if he just gets waxed what do you think this will do for his rep?
