Tailgating Scene

We will have a large group traveling from out of town for the ASU game. Not one of us has been to a UGA game. We have a caterer hooking us up with tents, grub, and adult beverages, and should be located in what we are told is the \"north campus\" area, just north of the stadium. All are very excited.

Any tips as to campus security or the local respected police force handles adult beverages? Some places we've been to we haven't had any issues at all. Other places say keep it in a plastic cup and all is well.

Don't want to ruffle any feathers, get thrown in jail, or worse, have someone dump our beers!

North campus is probably one of the most scenic spots on campus. Adult beverages shouldn't be a problem as long as you keep it on campus.

There is an open container law but it is suspended for home games. Again to be safe keep it on campus and if you need more adult beverages after the game you will have access to a downtown drinking scene that rivals the French Quarter in New Orleans. We are literally talking about 4 blocks of bars.

We always have tailgated in the north campus, usually in the Creswell miniature parking lot. The cops are pretty cool as long as your drinks are in a cup. You can drink a beer can anywhere except on a sidewalk and on the street. Just make sure you keep the party in the parking lot. If they do catch you they will usually just make you pour it out. It's a blast. Have fun and go Dawgs!
