Tennis Tournament Updates

Well, both the Men's and Women's SEC Tournaments are underway. The men don't play until this afternoon. In their second-round matchup (they received a first-round bye along with the #1 overall seed), our SEC regular season Champion Lady Net Dawgs defeated Alabama 4-1. On to the next round! Go Dawgs!!!

Georgia's men's team also defeated Auburn (who, by the way, were HOSTING the SEC tourney this year!) 4-1 and will move on to the next round. GO DAWGS!!!

Yeah, believe they play UF next. I'll take that win for sure to have SOMETHING to brag about around Jax.

Georgia's men did lose to Tennessee, who are facing Ole Miss right now in the tourney final. However, our women blanked Tennessee 4-0 to win the SEC Tournament this year! GO DAWGS!!!

NCAA Tournament:

Both the men's and women's tennis teams have advanced to the NCAA Round of 16. The Men defeated Virginia Tech 4-1, while the Women defeated Boise State 4-0. LET'S GO DAWGS!!!

Last night Georgia came from behind in dramatic fashion to defeat Illinois 4-3 in the NCAA Round of 16. They'll face #12 Texas, who upset #5 Tennessee yesterday. Go DAWGS!

The Lady Net Dawgs face Florida at one o'clock TODAY. Updates as they become available.
