On the same day the city of Tampa and mayor Pam Iorio honored the Plant High football team, Coach Robert Weiner and quarterback Aaron Murray were honored by the Florida Dairy Farmers.

Weiner was named Class 4A Coach of the Year and Murray 4A Player of the Year. Both are eligible for overall titles, including Murray for Mr. Florida Football.

Plant defeated Tallahassee Lincoln for the 4A state championship last month. On Friday, along with the state champion volleyball and swim teams, the Panthers football team was honored with a celebration rally at City Hall. A “Congratulations Panthers” banner was hoisted atop the downtown building.

I was watching a show the other night and they were talking about Murray. They were saying that UGA fans don't realize how special this kid is. I'm looking forward to seeing him in red and black.

Folks have mentioned this before, sure hope Orson Charles decides on UGA. Charles and Murray were dynamic this year together. Noticed that Tennessee has offered scholarship to Orson and Marlon Brown of course. That would be trouble. Fingers crossed. I haven't given up on Marlon Brown, but sometimes you have to play by the Vegas odds.

Hey Buc, with MoMass gone (and UT's offense is terrible), Brown should be able to get playing time at UGA and with someone that can actually get the ball to him.

Oh yeah.....watson, no problem finding you, you'll stand right out in the crowd!!
