GO HINES GO!!!! was created by getemdawg
Well, not really anybody left in the road to the super bowl. That I care about anyway, But man the good ole dayes of Hines Ward. He really is something special. Voted team mvp 3 times, 4 pro bowls, Super Bowl mvp, Steeler's all time leading receiver. Not to mention what he did at UGA, definetely in our top 5 in school history. So this is why im pulling for the Steeler's. It's going to be mighty cold for the Raven's, but their d is tough. If the field stays hard then it's Steelers all the way, they will fall apart in that long game against the best d. So Go Ward and Go Steeler's. DAWG'S FOREVER

Hines was a very versitile player. Played everywhere on offense. Goff couldn't figure out where he needed him. I was reading an old program from 1994. That listed Ward as starting \"scat back\", Terrell Davis his back up, and Robert Edwards as starting cornerback. Talking about having things $creWed up.. :side: :silly:
:woohoo:

You're right watson, he is very versatile. When I think of Hines Ward I immediately think of a \"sandlot\" football player that does anything and everything it takes to win a ballgame. Whether its catching a 3 yard pass for a much needed 1st down, a 65 yarder for a TD or block a 300 lb tackle so his RB can get loose......no matter what he needs to do, he will do it. BTW, many in the NFL consider him a dirty player......I say to them to just PAY ATTENTION or you're going to get hit.....and hit by the least imposing player in the NFL at that.

Leanard Pope just made a play in the Arizona/ Philadelphia game. He's still in it. As is Chris Clemons, Reggie Brown, and Max Jean Gilles for Philadelphia. Few left but not many.

Go Hines Go is right. I think Hines Ward is my grandfather's favorite Georgia Bulldog of all time. He still talks about the season when Bobo was hurt (1996, I believe) and Ward played wideout, tailback, quarterback and returned kicks. He equates Hines to Jim Thorpe, and I can't say I blame him. Who else has done what he's done with such humility, good humor and such a hard work ethic?
Oh, and in Steeler history, NO ONE has ever done what he's done. He holds the franchise record for most receiving yards, most touchdowns, and most receptions. He also helped UGA do what no other school has ever done, which is have three different players win MVP of the Superbowl (along with Jake Scott and Terrell Davis of the Dolphins and Broncos respectively). Go Hines go!
