I know everyone thinks that our defense was horrible this year. But, i think we will miss Asher. He was a true leader in the secondary and was the best corner that we had. Prince Miller and Bryan Evans were the ones getting burned and flagged most of the time. Most of the time our secondary had to defend wide outs much longer due to the lack of preasure provided by the D line. He didnt have a lot of stats to show for it but i think he is a solid defender this year. I wish him well at the next level.

He's gone. I'll miss him. Hopefully Reshad Jones has matured enough to lead our D in 2009 along with a returning Jeff Owens.

I'm not going to lie. This is a big loss. I knew Stafford was gone, but Asher? Yeah. I've watched this kid since the beginning, and I've always liked his heart and his guts. Best of luck to him at the next level.

I agree guys, Allen was a good cover corner and great against the run. He was very aggressive and seemed to always give 110%. He had way to many penalties (most because of over realousness) but he will definitely be missed.....when you lose one of your leaders, it's hard to replace. He will make it in the NFL, count on it.

He was definitely the best corner we had.

he IS NOT a cover corner so he will have a good 2 to 3 years.. i don't think we are losing much here.. When was the last time we had a GOOD corner back? Tim Jennings???? always thought he was an ok CB and thats about it?? Have we had one since Champ? someone refresh my memory......

I thought Paul Oliver and Bruce Thornton were great

Tra Battle had a few problems but he also made some big plays for us
