Revenge

I'm sick and tired of hearing about Florida needing \"revenge\" against Georgia. Give me a break. Do you really have that big of an inferiority complex stretching back to the Dooley years that you've forgotten that we've beaten you three times in twenty years?

Aren't you the team whose coach admitted that he only ran up \"half a hundred between the hedges\" because it had never been done before? Does that sound sportsmanlike to you?

Did Charley Pell screw your program up so badly that you can't remember the last seven SEC titles and two national championships you have? That's two and none for us. How about the two Heisman trophy winners you have? That's none for us.

Shouldn't we want revenge for you ruining our 2002 national title hopes?

Or are you afraid? Are you Florida fans afraid that your little run on us is over, and that we just might be a program on the rise? Are you terrified because you haven't run roughshod over the SEC the way you did in the '90s? Do you wonder if 2006 was a fluke? Do you think maybe twilight is descending?

Look, I think the Cocktail Party on Saturday is a push. Either team could easily win this game, or I could see it ending 13-13 in regulation before an overtime or three. Neither one of us has actually beaten anybody. The only team either of us has played that's worth anything is Alabama, who beat us. Florida? You've beaten Tennessee. Big deal. You've beaten LSU. We scored more than you on them. You've beaten Hawai'i, who's not even as good this year as they were last year when we beat them to death in New Orleans.

Of course, you lost to Ole Miss...maybe you could justify that...I'll wait...

My point is that many people say that the intangibles are on Florida's side because you people are so angry about the celebration last year. I wonder...will that make you more likely to play focused and precise football? Or will that make you more uptight, more likely to overthrow, more likely to commit penalties? Will it make you, in fact, more likely to lose?

We'll find out tomorrow. But for the love of all that is good, please stop whining. You people are serious babies. You've been kicking our butts for twenty years. Learn to be a good loser, or all the crystal footballs in the world won't be worth squat.

YEA WHAT HE SAID...... I can not agree more. This should be a great game indeed and with all the hoopla about our celebration last year................well get over it FLORDIA!!!!!!!!!!! You run up the score every chance you get and wonder why UGA wants to stick it to you every chance we get.. Thank God we have a classy coach that will not run up the score on teams for instance the ASU game, yea we could've scored one more touchdown but we didn't. Why? because we don't have anything else to prove. we respect our opponent and their coaching staff. we don't need style points we need our score higher than the other team and thats it. If there is a day that CMR wants to change his mind i hope it's against FL and only FL. FL and UGA fans let's get ready for one of the greatest games to be played in THE WORLD'S LARGEST COCKTAIL PARTY!!!! GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another thing Florida fans should worry about: all of LSU's extra points (that is, getting from 17 to 38) were scored in \"garbage\" time. Even announcers at the time said that we were celebrating too hard and took something off of the defense.

Hey Gators...what if our defense took something off the game in order to save energy for YOU? What if, just what if, we knew we had the game in hand, and decided to relax rather than risk exhaustion or injury one week before the biggest game of the year? After all, we haven't beaten you without a bye week since the 1980s. Be worried, Gators.

Your celebration last year was very funny. I think it helped you guys mentally win the game by firing you up.Was it a bad decision on CMR to do this? Obviously not last year. But I believe it comes full circle this year and backfires on the Bulldogs. Having said that, our coach is using that same celebration back at you this year.
Instead of having such a serious discussion about this, I would be more worried about how many points the Mighty Gators score on you. Because if you are complaing about the \"running up the score\" on our opponents we have played thus far this year, we will do that to you given the chance in this game. Then you will really have something to whine about.
Time will tell, if I am correct or not.
