What we are missing?

Any updates on Tripp Chandler and when he will be back? As I watched SC Tight End gash LSU's defense for some big gains and a TD it suddenly hit me that this is a piece of the offense we have been missing. If not Tripp then who can step up and add that dimension? Just seems the toss sweep, quick pass to AJ and the skinny post to Massoqui are getting a bit predictable and schemed for by the defenses we will be facing the next two weeks. Any insight or thoughts out there? It would be nice to see Southerland take over at FB and maybe Chapas play some TE to add that option for MS.

Tightend play would be very nice. Watching the Vandy game today though, we could always line up Chapas in the tight end spot. That kids got some good hands. Or Southernlan for that matter.

Speaking of LSU though. I was not impressed with their play tonight what so ever. I don't think we will walk over them, but I think we win. They just didn't seem to play very well.

I think the key will be getting pressure on Hatch and Lee. They have made big mistakes under pressure all year. FL keyed off of Hatch and pressured the heck out of Lee which ultimately shut down any big play ability for LSU. Our D must do the same. I'm confident in our ability to stop the run. Must get pressure so their QB's cannot take advantage of the imperfections in the secondary though.

I agree but as Martinez once again showed, he is not willing to do any blitzes for whatever reason. 3 and 4 man rushes just don't cut it, IMO. With a suspect secondary, the clear thing to do is blitz the QB and rush him into a mistake. Why do we occasionally blitz early in the games and then just quit and sit back on our heels? It is killing the defense. Blitz,Baby, Blitz.
