ESPN College Gameday

So, according to ESPN's website ( www.collegegameday.com/ )...Gameday is headed to Athens this Saturday. The way I see it, there are two ways to look at this...

1) It's great national exposure to help with recruits and overall \"brand recognition.\"

-or-

2) It's just one additional distraction for our players and coaches to deal with.


I, for one, don't think there was any way Gameday could NOT come to Athens, given the match-up: #3 vs #8, big time SEC game, etc. However, I am torn on whether this a good thing for the DAWGS or not.

What do you guys think?

If we are going to win it all, we have to be able to handle the hype. I don't think it should matter one way or the other.

EXCITEMENT man, creates excitement.....like averagedawg said, they need to learn to deal with distractions and they have. I say, keep the boys excited...when they are, they are tough to beat.

This is exactly what we need to get us jump started for the toughest stretch of games in the country. I want to see the emotion like we had after the FL game last year. We looked pretty good last night but i want to see the emotion like the USA in the Ryder Cup.

i challenge all who are going to the game to make sanford stadium louder than the Auburn game last year. hell dont waiste the black jerseys on the dreaded Vols. Break'em out this weekend! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I agree with you on the blackout, golferdawg. UT's not deserving of being on the same field as our black jerseys.

Yeah, a blackout for Gameday would be very cool...time enough to get it done?
