Brace yourselves...

Expect us to fall in the polls again. Florida is going to jump us with their big win over Tennessee today if the final score against a team that lost to UNLV is only like 20 or 30 something to 10.

I'm thinking it will be:

1.) USC
2.) OU
3.) Florida
4.) Georgia
5.) Mizzou

I don't think we will drop. Sure the Gators beat the Vols pretty bad and it could have been worse. But, these are not the Vols of the past. After all they lost to UCLA. On top of that we had a pretty good win at Arizona State. We will be alright as long as we keep winning our games.

I'm with you Chemdawg. I think we drop as well. Suits me just fine. Anger the sleeping giant. I like it.

Dawg54, your right. We will be okay as long as we keep winning. If you've noticed though, we've been sliding down the polls with good wins. You have to remember, the national media doesn't care to look bad. We constantly make them look bad. There for, we get no respect. Most of the voters it would seem have no common sense to look at stats before they cast their votes. It seems they only listen to ESPN. We all know how smart they are.

Well, both polls are out, and we're still #3.

Interesting tidbits: USC and OU are still #1 and #2 respectively, even though:

- Neither team played this week
- Georgia received two first-place votes in the AP poll. OU received none.
- We did the exact same thing that OU did in jumping us to #2: we travelled a long distance to convincingly defeat a Pac-10 team in its home stadium. Except that the team we beat was ranked and had a winning record at the time.

Oh well. At least Florida didn't jump us.

By the way, has anyone noticed that USC got a bye week both before and after its biggest game of the year? Is anyone else a little nauseated by that scheduling?

Oh yeah, I saw it. If you do the math, they get 9 days off before Oregan I believe. Due to them playing the Thursday before that game. It's funny how they get these breaks before their \"Tough Schedule\". (Sarcastiv pun intended)
