What can I say wlayton, I really do travel a lot. Right now, I'm posting from the middle of enemy territory, in Cullman, Alabama (over here on business of course). Anyways, ugly win or not, I PROUDLY wore my UGA shirt from Atlanta through Birmingham and North up to Cullman on yesterday. Throughout the day & evening in Cullman I got plenty of sideways glances from the War Eagle and Tide faithful that are literally everywhere you go in Alabama. Actually, the manager of the company I am working for in Cullman was actually a huge Gator fan so he REALLY didn't like my choice of attire for our initial meeting
But, I spend way too much of my money and my entire Fall rooting for our beloved Dawgs which is probably a big reason I just celebrated my 30th B-day without a wife much less kids
perhaps, I'll find her at a UGA game (somewhere???) BUT she better not distract me from cheering for the Red & Black
Regardless, there is NO way I am planning on coming back to GA with anything less than a 4-0 record. My road record as a fan is pretty solid.
1-1 at WLOCP in Jax. (2006 & 2007)
1-0 at NATS Field (2007)
1-0 at Clemson (2003)
1-0 at Auburn (2002--I STILL GET CHILLS THINKING ABOUT THIS GAME)
2-1 at Sugar Bowl (2003, 2008, Superdome / 2006, Georgia Dome)
Noticed, I've witnessed ZERO UGA losses at opposing team's HOME stadiums and I don't plan on that changing out in Tempe!
BTW damngooddawg, are you going out West as well? If so, (and this offer goes to any of you other Dawg lovers that are making the pilgrimage--WestCoastDawg, DedBugDug, Southernlover, whoever) we should try to meet up for some pregame warm-ups on Friday night or more importantly, for some tailgating on Saturday. Believe it or not, I am already planning on meeting up with some local ASU fans for some friendly pregame trash talk on Friday night. If anybody is interested in joining forces prior to gametime, send an e-mail to
