Venting thread

...WHAT THE HELL was David Peron thinking leaving a college freshman in after 90 pitches in 3 innings after that walk to Wetzel? There's no way he should have pitched to Susdorf, and now it's 5-3, when we started the game 5-0. If we lose the game, it's poor game management on Perno's part; how he does not have a pitch count on a freshman is BEYOND me.

I'm right there with you Dapolla. Too much on the line tonight to not pull the trigger on the freshman. If Perno could only hear me yelling at him when Susdorf came up. We have to win this one or Fresno St. has a chance to get their pitching back in order and make it a tough 3 game series!

I also agree Dapolla. IMO, Perno left him in there a few batters too long. NOW, the Fresno bats have caught fire & our relief pitching has been atrocious. We just started off the bottom of the 5th by walking the leadoff batter; never a good thing. Anyways, I still believe regardless of Erin Andrews dugout report that she \"hasn't seen the UGA dugout this quite during the entire series\". The bullpen has got to stop the bleeding (another hit, dang it) & our bats have to get going. From a 5-0 lead to an 11-6 deficit (make that 12-6) is a big lead to overcome but hey, OUR Dawgs have been the comeback kids all WS long. Let's get some freaking outs (now 13-6) & start chipping away!

I will go ahead & assume that if UGA can come back in this one it will be the biggest WS clinching comeback ever!!!

The weak link from earlier this season is rearing its ugly head. The bullpin is falling apart. Not to take anything away from Fresno, they are hitting good. The bullpin though is killing us. You don't have to be good to hit what they are throwing right now.

I tell you what. If this is any type of precurser to the Football season. I wont live to see 32

These are some of the worst pitching decisions I've ever seen.

That being said, I think I understand Perno's mentality. You don't want to burn people unnecessarily and not have anything left for game 3.

If you're down by say, 5 or more after the 6th inning, you want to be more conservative. If they mount a comeback it's nice. If they don't, they don't.

We don't want to put ourselves in a situation where we burn through everybody like it's the end of the world, end up losing 15-14 anyway, and have nothing left for the final game. Hence, leaving dude in even though he loaded the bases with nobody out.
