How many out there think this program will be a success?
In the interest of full disclosure, I was somewhat irritated by a post a month or so ago when Dan Reeves name was being tossed around. The comment in particular that caused my discomfort was to the effect that the new \"GSU\" program would really hurt \"The GSU\" program, the second being the one located in Statesboro, Ga. I'm no expert on Georgia State, in fact I know very little about it other than it is located in Atlanta and has a large student body which are primarily commuters.
My question to whoever thinks this program will be a success is: How do you recruit 18 year olds to a college that has no \"traditional\" campus, is not known(to me knowledge) for outstanding academics(i.e. Ga Tech), no stadium(playing in the dome might be attractive but will be cavernous on Saturdays)and whose young men will have a better chance of picking up a panhandler or crack head in lieu of a beautiful southern belle?
To answer my own question, I don't think the two programs will be attracting the same type of recruits.
