Coach Richt was quoted in the AJC as saying that the O-Line wasn't giving Stafford time to pass and at this point, they were less impressive than last years squad. But, if they are scrimmaging the first team D, with Jeff Owens and Geno Atkins come off big years in '07, I may understand their troubles........

Yes, I believe that is more of a compliment to the D-line than a cut on the OL although DO believe the OL will gel as time goes on.

I hope so. CMR says that the o-line is lacking leadership at this point like they had when Velasco was still here. The o-line allowed 12 sacks of Stafford in 100 offensive plays against our defense. I hope it's more a tribute to the defense than it is to the shortcomings of a still pretty young o-line. That's a sack every 8.4 plays, for those of you that keep stats on things like that, or a sack every time we have a sustained drive of 7 or better plays.

Trust me. Coach Searels will whup 'em into shape. He's got much more to work with this year. Plus the defense always has the advantage early on.

I agree wlayton, no worries. I believe the new and improved Coach Richt is calling out the O-line, trying to encourage somebody to step up and grab that leadership bull by the horns.
