Since I know the Dawgs are going to lose, about midseason I start rooting for Vandy in SEC basketball. I don't have as much invested as I do, say, in Winthrop, but it's nice to see them win. And for them to take down Tennessee...all I gotta say is ONE AND DONE, BABY!!!

Wlayton, you're correct. The story this morning said in the last 56 years VANDY has had #1 visit 9 times. Vandy's record is 6-3 with wins in the last 4. They are 18-0 at home this season and 31 of their last 32.

Averagedawg...I've got to meet you!! Anyone who HATES Tennessee as much as me is a friend of mine for sure. AND a Georgia Bulldog fan too..You are alright in my book.
My coworkers accuse me of hating tennessee soo much that I would cheer AGAINST Tenn even if they played Al-Queida. Of course, I would have to \"take down\" the Al-Queida team after the victory.

By the way, does ANYONE know of a Bulldawg club in the Memphis area?

I'm still giddy. All I've heard today on the local Nashville talk shows is excuses, excuses, excuses. The refs were unfair, the benchs were by the baskets, the players were tired, they had the flu, blah, blah, blah. What a bunch of whining crybabies!
Oh yeah, the Vandy kids were classless. This from Tennessee fans who probably had to drive their tractors back to Knoxville. I hope they enjoyed their short reign as No. 1. I hope I never see them No. 1 in any sport again.
As a Georgia boy I know I have very little credence when it comes to basketball. I've got a daughter at UNC however. The kids over there were amused at all the Vol hooplah. Being No. 1 to them is like eating a sandwich. UT would have paid my daughter to go to school there but she would have gone there over my dead body. It's costing a fortune to send her out of state but thats ok. Fortunately she had no interest in that hellhole. She hates Tn. It tore me up she didn't go to UGA but it's her life.
