Think maybe these young fellows are serious? Good article in the AJC, probably some have read, for those that haven't . . . .

Great article, buc. Loved the part about them being hungry because they got a taste of what the end of the season could be like and are willing to pay the price. Can't wait....

wlayton, sadlerdawg, that pigskin can take some funny bounces, changes the outcome of many games. Does this old heart good to see these young men putting out the effort that they know it is going to take to realize their dreams. Let me say this, when these young men are putting this amount of effort in, at this time of the year, and say get some bad breaks during the season, I don't have a problem with that. We can only ask for honest effort, and that appears to be what this coaching staff is getting out of the upcoming edition of the Dawgs. I never want to see us in another game like the one played in PhatPhilsVille last season. When they come to Athens this year, know that I am going to have averagedawg on my mind. Go Dawgs, stay hungry fellows!

Looking around for some football news, thought maybe you folks would like this. The site is listed below, but the main thing I wanted to post here is the paragraph about Matt Stafford below. It is listed about 3/4 of the way down in the article. Watched an interview with Matt on TV the other day and the question was asked which QB he would most like to emulate. . . . . John Elway . . . he has the arm, and more and more when I watch him fake the handoff to KM, keep the ball and run . . . . what a prize this young man is. Go Dawgs!

And for the truly prescient GM, you could sidestep the QBs from the Class of 2008 entirely and put all your proverbial draft eggs in one basket for the Next Sure Thing: Georgia's Matthew Stafford, the crown jewel of either 2009 or 2010!
