More evidence of the Urban Liar moniker ringing true. Read the heartbroken father's quote at the bottom of the article. UF really yanked the rug out from under this kid.

You should read some Gator insider stuff first.
The kid was wishy washy at best.
If you're not a Five Star recruit, there is a price to pay for not commiting early. The truth is, the Gators just got another decent OL last week and don't have room for anymore.
You snooze, you loose.
UGA told him some time ago that they were interested as well but now don't have room. So why is Urban the bad guy and not Richt?

Give me a break!

What I found interesting was the departure of their running back coach to Tenn. From what I gather Meyer was not too happy about that. Should make for some intriguing bylines this year when they play each other.
Meyer's offense is predicated upon an athletic QB, definitely not for every roster. These things come and go, mostly the same things resurrected.
Personally give me a balanced offense with a smart QB and a stable of running backs and great tight ends. Don't forget a tough OLine.
P.S. I don't particularly like the Pats but great to see Seymour and Watson have good games.
Go Dawgs!

Here is the text from another article from AJC from the 6th.

Decision day for Northmont (Oh.) High offensive tackle Zebrie Sanders has been set for Sunday Jan. 13.
After briefly considering UCLA, Sanders confirmed that he will play college football for Georgia or Florida.
“I love coach [Mark] Richt,” Sanders told Scout.com. “That’s probably the main reason why I’m thinking about them. [Offensive line] coach [Stacy] Searels is great.
“All the players that are down there, Trinton Sturdivant, all of them down there, Fernando [Velasco], all of them are good. And I like the facilities and the chance to play early.”
Sanders said he’ll communicate with Richt and Florida coach Urban Meyer this week before making a commitment on Sunday.
“Coach Meyer is coming down and I’m talking to coach Richt,” Sanders said. “So, I’m getting it done.”
Sanders said a variety of factors will contribute to his decision.
“It’s just how I feel more comfortable with the players and the coaches,” he said. “Coach Richt is awesome. The players, like Tim Tebow, at Florida are awesome.
“It’s just going to be hard. I’ve just got to think about it the next couple of days and get it over with.”

So as you see, he had still not made up his mind.
UF recvd. a commitment from another O'Lineman (Barnum) on the 10th. Myer called Sanders the next day and told him that he had to pull his offer. Simple as that.
All coaches make many, many more offers than they have room for and once the positions get filled, the offers get rescinded. Nothing new.

I agree with you GatorinGA. That is just the way the cookie crumbles. I don't think anybody here is the \"bad guy\". Sanders should have made up his mind earlier.

You are right GatorinGa, UGA doesn't have a scholarship left either. The boy had his chances.....remember the old saying, \"he who hesitates is lost\"...(something like that anyway).

BTW GatorinGa, I hear Omar Hunter wants to possibly come to UGA but again there's no scholarships available and UGA has talked with him to wait a while longer to see if one free's up. Says he wants to stay close to home now.....interesting.
