It's called rebuilding.

It's called rebuilding. was created by UnderDog37
It appears that the coaches were right back in August when they cautioned the fans that it might be a rebuilding year with young offensive linemen, new DBs, new DLinemen, and new QBs, but we as fans didnt want to believe it. It happens, but we dont have to like it. Be that as it may, here in Tallahassee, the Seminoles have been claiming rebuilding years since CMR left there, but they still are in contention for their conference title, anyway. Tech fans, enjoy tooting your horn this year!! You are probably gonna do what you haven't been able to do....beat FSU and UGA and win the ACC in the same year since....never.

On another note, what are the chances of Larry Coker keeping his job after the "Brawl to Settle it All" last Sat. night? Typical behavior from "Thug U" down in Coral Gables for the second time this year (Louisville). A true fan of this school should be disgusted.

i agree with you secsec, we have lots of talent and should be like other programs, just reloading, we have 3 great backs that are not doing anything, we have gifted receivers that are not doing anything. we have most all starters in one form or another from last years leam on defence and we have the worst d ever. teams that avg less that 100 yards a game manage to ave 250 to 400 against us. it just seems like every team we play plays their best game against us. i will not accept that we will ever be rebuilding not when we have 4 to 5 years of top 15 recurting classes in the country.

dawgs forever

duck, I have to totally agree with you. This is Mark's 6th year and with the recruiting classes the last 5 years, we SHOULD just be reloading, as during his FSU years. I felt the "rebuilding" was when UGA hired Mark and his staff and let them get to work to turn the program around. The program has seemed to be grounded and established, therefore you reload. This year raises question marks (namely D-coordinator, need to go get Will Muschamp from AU). I think duck is correct.

Wow, there's a thought! Former dawg W. Muschamp coming home to take over the defense. That would be a great addition to our coaching staff! After all, Martinez has taken the best defensive teams we have had in over 20 years and ruined them. As a matter of fact, I have been following the Dawgs since 1976, and I haven't seen a defense this bad since the mid 90s when good ol one play away Ray Goff was in charge.

UnderDog37, through a close friend of mine who has some connections in Athens, said Muschamp would be very interested in coming back as the DC. As you know, he's a very aggressive, attacking style of DC, which we probably need. AU's defense as well as LSU's (when Muschamp coached there as well) are very good physical, dominating type defenses (most of the time).

I say we pursue Muschamp, and bump Martinez back to the Secondary coaching position where they need some help right now.
