What yall think about the newest member of the SEC coaching ranks, one Bobby Petrino, who left Atlanta like a thief in the night and landed in Fayetteville, AR?
As hard as it is sometimes (probably more so this year than ever ), I am an Atlanta Falcons fan, always have been, always will be. This guy, much like Nick Saban a year ago, stands in front of the press and tells America that he is committed to the Atlanta Falcons for the long-haul. Less than 24 hours later he's yelling WOOOO PIG SOOEY in front of the Hog crazies at a press conference on the Arkansas campus. Honestly, for the dreadful Falcons sake, I'm glad he's gone. The players, the staff, the fans, even his own secretary, they all HATED the guy so it really is good riddance.
However, I'm really just DISGUSTED that another SPINELESS coach, (who a bunch of 18-22 year old kids are gonna look up to as their LEADER) has set a FINE example to the youth of this country as to the WRONG way to leave one job for another. He doesn't bother to sit down and address his players face to face, he doesn't bother to tell his former employer thanks for the opportunity, he doesn't even bother to take the time to simply say good-bye.
Honestly, given his track record at Louisville, I fully expect Bobby Petrino to have lots of success at Arkansas. But my main observation is that our beloved SEC conference, the roughest, toughest, most competitive college football in all the land, is getting infiltrated by a bunch of low-brow, cut-throat, money hungry, power-craving, JERKS who have a whole lot of influence and carry the very prestigious title of HEAD FOOTBALL COACH. Thank God we are fortunate enough to have a true leader, a man of character & a man of integrity, one Coach Mark Richt steering the Bulldog Nation's ship.
My gosh, in the SEC we must have the biggest collection of a#$(@#! for head coaches in the entire country & it STINKS!!! Here's my list of SEC coaches ranked according to their character (or lack thereof). I would be very interested in seeing your lists as well:
