DWS, haven't said anything, but do know that Hines Ward was on campus.

Allow me this.

We (UGA) need folks like Hines Ward to return to campus and let young and old folks know that Athens is a good place to play games and get a good education.

Hines is going to get so many offers in the near future, and it is scary. He is a proven football player and still a young man that has a terrific future ahead of him. I so hope that UGA will make sure that Hines understands how much he means to the University of Georgia. Hines has said how much he loves UGA, I would hope that those in higher levels in Athens understand what this means.

Not to put a damper on things, but must say this . . . . I truly hope that the folks that handle the everyday operations at our University understand how much this young man means to all of us that love the Red and Black . . . and this is the "gold piece" that some folks go to Dahlonega and hope to find. If Hines is not hired and signs on with another university, this board will definitely kick me off for using words that "old sailors" know how to use, and will.

I am going to say this at risk . . . . to heck with Florida State and others, we need some home grown folks to put their stamp on our University and those that have laid it out there for you and I to see.

I do not believe prior to Coach Grantham coming to Athens that anyone on our coaching staff realized what Coach Grantham said his first year and fully understood what Todd Grantham was saying.

Richt/Bobo, we will watch you two this year, that is only fair. You two have a lot of talent (not yours, the players, again) but this year we will not let you make excuses. A third year quarterback and a couple of the best running backs in the nation. Excuses?

If the offensive line does not make the grade, please explain to me and others why this happened?

Know that I started off with Hines Ward, it is however hard to understand what Mark Richt is trying to do with UGA Football. If you know more than I do, please post.

averagedawg, thought just crossed my mind when I read your post. Maybe it has been posted before and I missed it.

Two super stars that played at UGA and have the same initials . . . HW.

Both have always shown deep feelings for UGA, for that I am grateful. Some of these younger folks should take note that good wins out in the long run.

University of Georgia gets these two men involved a bit deeper in recruiting and maybe coaching, it will reward our university in more ways than one.

Go Dawgs, No Excuses . . . .

Edit:
Interesting article in the ABH this morning.
