Welcome to Dawgs.com. This forum is published by and for Dawg fans. It is for mature, respectable conversation about our Georgia Dawgs. We welcome all newcomers, even rival team fans.  To post messages you are required to register and abide by our rules of behavior. Use of this forum indicates your agreement to these rules.

We have a few basic rules that have been developed over the years as they have become necessary. We reserve the right to make new rules at anytime and ban any member that  in our sole opinion we determine is necessary.

 FIRST AND FOREMOST... We are sick and tired of link baiting. Your Facebook, YouTube and similar accounts are not interesting. If you want to participate you must do it HERE at Dawgs.com. This rule is enforced and we will send law enforcement to your house if you do it.

These activities will get you banned:
Ticket Sales
Link Baiting - including You Tube videos. Those MUST be uploaded to DawgsTube if you want to share them. (read details below)
Posting Personal Information
Real Estate or Commercial Ads - These are paid ads, contact us.
Posting Messages not related to the Georgia Bulldogs or similar subjects like the SEC or College Football.
Disrespect for Others - Disagree but do NOT disrespect.
This is a family friendly site so watch your behavior and language.

That and common sense will keep you out of trouble with the board's admin.  We realize in trying to keep it simple we raise a lot of questions. Below we have answers to the most common questions. Newcomers are encouraged to take the time to read on if they plan on becoming members of our community of Dawg Fans.

FAQ Answers:

1. RESPECT. This forum was started in 1997 and has many members that have been around that long. Some of them have been Dawgs for many years, all the way back into the mid 1900's. Our basic principle is the same one you use in life. To get respect you have to give respect. Don't over do it, just have simple respect for other's perspective on things. That creates fruitful, positive conversation. No smack talk. Nothing disrespect able is to be said about anyone or anything even rivals. BUT, you can disagree with anyone or anything if you do it respectably.It is a fine line so be careful.

2. LINKS: We generally ALLOW links to legitimate news stories on established news sources FOR members who have more than 50 messages. HOWEVER, we are not coming here to talk about the Dawgs and see messages wanting us to visit the greatest web site ever built which also happens to be your site. Anyone posting links just to bait for traffic is automatically banned. We are beyond tired of this and have no patience for it. If you want to be safe and have a conversation that all can read then follow Rule #3. The people who follow rule 3 instead of posting links have more people participate and don't get in trouble with link policies.

3. USE QUOTES INSTEAD OF LINKS: Everyone is encouraged that instead of links to news or blogs, simply cut and paste the part of the article you want to share into the message on the forum, then, and this is very important, give the author and publisher credit (such as "joe smith, AJC" ). That way the folks that can't follow the link for some reason or another can participate and we don't wind up being a link farm. Some people check in from work and can't follow links, especially to pay sites like rivals dot com. Quote the text you want to talk about in your message and they will be able to know what the conversation is about.

4. VIDEO LINKS: Links to You Tube Videos can be done in Dawgs Tube. It is better to upload them to Dawgs Tube so all Dawg fans can see them that can't get to You Tube. (You Tube is blocked in many work places.) You Tube videos MUST be uploaded to DawgsTube or they will be immediately deleted.

5. RIVALS are welcome. We want them to pick a user name so we will know what team they represent. Upload an avatar that represents your loyalty. Rivals receive the same respect that Dawgs fans get as long as the have respect for the Dawg fans. Otherwise they get banned.

6. TICKET SALES:  NO TICKET SALES.  PERIOD. This has caused way too much trouble and opens the door for all kinds of illegal activity. Use the ticket brokers on our "Tickets" page. Or go stand outside the stadium.

7. PERSONAL INFORMATION: Do not post any email addresses, phone numbers or any personal information in the forum messages. If you do your privacy gets invaded and our forum becomes a place where lurkers look for stupid people posting their personal information.

8. REGISTRATION: You must use your real name and email address to register and use the form. Our use of this information is covered under our privacy policy.

9. PRIVACY POLICY: We do not use your personal information, such as email addresses, for anything other than to communicate with you about this forum. We do not share your personal information with anyone. If this policy changes you will be offered the opportunity to opt out.

10. BANNED MEMBERS can appeal their case to the admin via email to editor@dawgs.com. Many people are restored after getting the rules explained and agreeing to them.

11. WARRANTIES AND GUARANTEES: The information on the web site is not guaranteed to do anything but liven up your life.  No warranties apply. All merchandise is sold by third parties and they provide the guarantees for those items. Please contact them directly as indicated in you purchase records from them.

12. ILLEGAL ACTIVITY: And since this is the real world we have to say that if you do anything illegal we will cooperate with law enforcement to track you down.

This policy may be modified at any time. We will try to post changes to forum but can not guarantee it. Please check back occasionally.
