Watched the replay of UGA and A&M. Our center is an absolute animal. Ask the 10th Street bunch. Always love to see the RB's break the line of scrimmage, also like watching the folks that make it possible. Ben Jones will definitely play at the next level.

I'm with you guys.

I'm still not totally sold on the RB situation.......especially CK. Thought he was running much harder at the end of the year but seemed to be tentative early on.....could have been because of his prior injury but still has some \"proving\" to do for me. Ealey seems more explosive and talented. To me he runs similar to KM but much less physical.....giving him the benefit of the doubt though. Believe he's our #1.

You're right Buc, shore up the kick coverage and our special teams will be top 5 in the country (if not higher).

Sweet baby Jesus!

If I am not mistaken somewhere in the world today fine young men are putting on red helmets and getting after it!

Glory! Glory!

My yearly retreat from football and into the depths of misery and depression is on hold for some football.

Being down here in the very pit of evil I am relying on my fellow Dawgs to bring me the good word on spring practice.

You WILL be the first to know my friend.

Get rid of your depression and get to posting more often....we need your mastery of the English language (and all the benefits that go with it).

AJC - Bulldog Beat

  • 3 players dismissed by Georgia for team rules violations

ATHENS — Three players have been kicked off the Georgia football team for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

UGA coach Mark Richt announced this morning that defensive back Nick Marshall, wide receiver Sanford Seay and  defensive back Chris Sanders have been dismissed from the team. All three are freshmen and were members of Georgia’s 2011 “Dream Team” recruiting class.

The school did not address what precipitated the dismissals.

“It’s a privilege to play college football and to be a part of this team and University,” Richt said in a statement. “Along with that privilege comes certain responsibilities. Mistakes were made, and part of...

  • UGA has to report NCAA secondary violation due to comments on Harvey-Clemons

ATHENS — Georgia will have to report an NCAA secondary violation regarding its recruitment of Josh Harvey-Clemons. But as far as secondary violations go, they don’t get much more secondary than this one.

Jim Booz, UGA’s senior associate athletic director for compliance, confirmed to The AJC Thursday that coach Mark Richt ran afoul of NCAA bylaws when he commented on Harvey-Clemons shortly after the highly-touted prospect announced on national television his decision to sign with the Bulldogs on Wednesday. Harvey-Clemons’ signing ceremony at Lowndes High School in Valdosta was televised live by ESPN and the sports network also had a reporter...

  • UPDATED: Harvey-Clemons never wavered on UGA, just had to convince granddad

ATHENS — Josh Harvey-Clemons said he never wavered on his decision to sign with Georgia. He just had to convince his grandfather that it was the best move.

“I just had to sit down with my family and get everybody on the same page,” said Harvey-Clemons, reached by phone Thursday morning in Valdosta. “He was looking at it as Florida was closer. I’ve got a cousin who still plays at Lowndes and my little brother is going to be in high school next year. Florida is only like an hour and 20 minutes away, so he was thinking about going to...
